"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

How much difficulty will I have getting a resort bus to get TO the event if I don't get there before it starts? Will there be far fewer shuttles since it's a special admission event?

Disney's resort buses will run continuously to and from the mk. It's going to be difficult to get into the gate if you arrive right at 7, as the vast majority don't know their ticket can get them in as early as 4pm. And you'll probably miss out on things since many lines begin as early as 5:30.

Would you drive or bus it to MNSSHP? We will have the car so driving is an easy option, but idk how I'm gonna feel about driving BACK to the resort all full of candy after the party (we've never gone).

I always bus it shorter walk I feel, and when i think its easier when i'm in costume to just take the bus and sight see at all the other costumes, I will say though i'm never standing on mnshpp night on the bus again THAT was not fun.

We take a car. Year's ago, it took us over an hour waiting for a bus to CBR. So since then, we drive. But that's our preference.

We always stay offsite so a car is better in that respect. The first time we went we took a public bus and there were a few funny looks! We were in full costume, ha ha.

A car would probably be better for you as you wouldn't have to wait for the resort buses which would have a long line at the end of the night, or after the fireworks.

Plus I don't know about everyone else, but I don't really eat the candy I collect while we're in the park. I may have a piece or two but I save the haul until either I get back to the villa or the next morning. Then the feast begins! Last time we did the party the night before we flew back to the UK and that bag of candy was awesome to eat on the flight. But I'm an adult, I probably have a bit more will power than a kid to wait to eat my candy!

I have to say the odd looks were what made the bus even more fun when I went last year.

Im 32 M from NJ going on my second solo trip to WDW. I will be doing MNSSHP for the first time and am really excited. I will be booking my vacation in the next 2 weeks. Im going Sept 22-28 and will be doing MNSSHP 2 of the 3 nights its offered during my stay.

sorry if this has been posted already - when do the tickets actually go on sale? i know 'April' but as i can only do one day which happens to be 31st October, i need to know when I can buy them to ensure i have a ticket

Yes you can enter the park at 4pm in your costume, we do it every Halloween! Haven't tried to enter earlier than that. There are 4 parties the week we go, we are also considering doing 2 parties that week. Last year we felt so rushed.

Hi Everyone! This is actually my first question on the disboards. We are going Sept 24-29th for our third annual disney vacation! Does anyone know if it is possible to book ADRs at any of the MK restaurants as late as 6:30 the night of MNSSHP? We want to book an ADR at CRT on 9/27 (my daughter's 7th birthday!) around 6 o clock. We will be buying tickets to attend MNSSHP that night anyway but I just wanted to make sure it was possible to dine at CRT that night before I make the reservation. Any help on this would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I am not sure if CRT was offered when villians soiree was happening last year, so there is a chance it may not be open on party night but you'll have to wait for someone who can confirm.

CRT closed early for the soirée. The meal and soirée were at the same place. Unless you are doing a couple parties, I wouldn't recommend dinner so close to party time. Depending what you want to do or who you want to see, it makes more sense to wait in a line before the party rather than during the party wasting precious party time.
