JANUARY 2017!! **CHECK IN!!

just saw 60% chance rain tomorrow..... ugh and I have the holiday tour and Paint the Night package---- hopefully they are wrong......

14 days to go for me! About to get real. Thinking about all I have to do between now & then. Pretty sure time going to come very fast. Have not started packing etc at all. Have busy weekend ahead full of other stuff. Time to start a checklist

Waiting to check in online at SouthWest- this time tomorrow I will be very tired but, at the airport.
Have a great trip!!! Make sure to give update to your JAN :flower3: Disers.

Especially curious on warmth of Jacket needed for mornings & nights?

I hope everyone there is having a good time and those about to go will too! Remember to check weather forcasts before you go so you can be prepared. :)

I picked up a cold somewhere and feel pretty dang miserable right now. Trying to look on the bright side that colds typically don't last longer than 7-10 days and we are 9 days out today. I should be over it in time.:shamrock:

Ugh! Nothing worse than colds. Mine last much longer...so I've been trying to drink orange juice every day as of late to avoid such disaster. Hope you feel better soon! :cloud9:

Any idea what weather I should expect next week? I'm guessing light or medium jackets during the day and medium or heavy jackets during the evening?
Depends on where you're coming from and what you're accustomed to. I've been seeing mid to upper 60s which is about what we experienced the same week last year. We were in shorts and t-shirts during the day with maybe a sweatshirt at night and are planning the same for this year. We're coming in from Colorado where it we're supposed to reach a whopping 11 degrees tomorrow. 60s will feel balmy to us.

I live in Louisiana, the place of no snow. It was 72 degrees on Christmas.

Figures that we manage to catch rain on the first day of our stay.

now, it says 80% chance of rain tomorrow- YUCK..... I'm in Arizona so temps are pretty close to the same. Just dont want to be cold and wet..... nor do I want the parades , PTN and fireworks to be cancelled.

almost heading to the airport. Will be at DL later this morning- I will say hi to the Big Cheese for you all. Hopefully, it wont be raining all day..

We are at 3 weeks today! December flew by so I hope January does also.

Excited they haven't closed too many rides for refurbishment this year (so far).

After I posted I noticed my count down ticker said 4 weeks and 1 day. OOPs on the date. Had to change it to correct time but now the Trip looks so far away.

Too funny - I did the exact same thing! My ticker was from my last trip (around the same time of this month). I made a new one and now we're back at the very beginning! lol

we leave early tomorrow morning -- i am debating cancelling our on the go PTN grab and go dinner due to the chance of rain
wondering if its easy to get walk up if the weather cooperates on the day of.....

Will they cancel parades due to rain? I figured just fireworks. Mmmm...

I think they have to prevent slips and falls for performers?

and I think the durability of the floats and costumes in the rain is questionable as well....

i have cancelled the reservation for Saturday, hope if we change our mind and the weather cooperates we can walk up to AO without a reservation and still get the package.

Maybe weather forecast is improving?? I looked up sat at it shows only 20% chance of rain ☔

But on another weather website it says 60% chance during day. :(

I love Disneyland in the rain! Yes, parades and shows do get canceled, but it feels almost like you have the park to yourself. Bring a rain jacket, an umbrella, and rain boots if you have them (and maybe an extra pair of dry socks and shoes) and enjoy the ability to maneuver through the parks without being elbow to elbow in the crowds.

So I'm curious if you've gotten time to start your checklist yet? :tilt: We've got 7 days to go and I am getting so excited! :yay: Thinking more about where we might want to eat, what special thing we might want to do without kids ect. I'm really hoping we get to go to Trader Sams.

Sort of, although I really need to get going...thankfully have idea from past trips

We all bring one large suitcase (per person) & 1 carry on suitcases and two back packs. We also put a empty soft duffle bag into one of the suitcases just in case we buy too much. We have had to purchase an extra bag on more than one occasion in the past so we have learned to be prepared now. :rotfl2:
