Bounce back 2017?

This is confusing - which is it? Can anyone confirm or has anyone done this?

I have done this many times and yes, once you book a BB offer, you can make changes to your dates as long as the new dates still fall under the BB offer but you may have to switch resorts or room category. As an example: You book a standard view room at the BC for a certain date. Your plans change and you now need to change your dates a month out...the dates are still covered under the offer so you're good there but there may not be any more BC standard view rooms open so you would have to either switch to a different room category or may have to switch resorts entirely....make sense?

Got it! Thanks for the info I think we'll plan to book BB during our trip 10/16 - 11/1 2016 but with intentions to change it to 2018 when it's time. Disney 2017 is out of the question due to another planned trip. This information help out a lot!

Okay... that you cannot do and I'll explain further.

When a BB offer first comes out, it will have very specific dates that are covered and those dates are for the following year ONLY. So as an example, there's a Free Dining BB offer that just came out now that is good for certain dates in 2017 only. If you book that deal, you can only go during those 2017 dates, you cannot book then change to 2018...it doesn't work that way.

Yep, so sad to hear. I totally get it thanks for taking the time! °O°

You're very welcome.

Don't get discouraged just because you may not be able to take advantage of a particular BB offer. There's always some sort of discount to be had depending on what time of year you go and the best discounts are not always going to be thru Disney direct. We'll be checking into the Beach Club and Board Walk next week and got our room with an agency discount of just over 50% off - You'd never see that type of discount thru Disney. Once you figure out when you're going, keep an eye out on these boards for discounts. Good Luck!!

Both of our replies said basically the same thing. Your stay ( whether the original one booked, or a change to a later date), have to fall within the dates given in that bounceback. You can't move it to a date later than the eligible period.

Thank you for taking the time to spell this out.

This is a RO discount, correct? I am looking for RO and not FD. Thanks!!

Have a reservation for December to hopefully score a 2017 BB - if the dates for the FD would have worked - I would be heading to Florida within the next 2 weeks but the current FD BB only covers 2 of my dates (wanting 6/27 thru 7/2), not worth it. Hopefully I will get my wish in the RO BB offer, if not I guess I will just keep watching for special offers.

When I called the Bounceback offer main number, they told me an offer was not coming out till 8/16, so I was surprised to see this.

I always prefer RO (since we do deluxe dining, I have to pay to upgrade to that with this offer), but i'll take what I can get! I can always switch the deal in March (which is when the public offer usually comes out for August). I'll post when i'm there if anything else opens up.

I'm seriously thinking of flying to MCO this month and staying one night in a value just so I can book the free dining bounceback for next June. Has anyone done something like this? It would be hard to leave after two days but DH and my kids would be so jealous:sad: if I stayed longer.

How will you use the free dining? I ask because if you're staying Deluxe in June, especially with a small number of people in your room, the room-only they'll likely offer for June will most definitely be a better deal, especially when you factor in the cost of a one-night trip right now! If you're putting four people in a Value or Moderate, free dining is often better than a room-only BUT with the added cost of this one-night trip, you probably would still come out behind.

Plus, I haven't seen anyone report exclusions yet, or if any resorts of categories are sold out. I was so excited to book a BB for WL last year, but when I got there and called, though it was available for my dates, only Courtyard View was available (30% room only). In December, Disney released a 30% room-only for my dates, and it included standard rooms, which saved hundreds.

Just trying to help you think it out! :)

We would be staying in a mod (hopefully CSR, our favorite!). We have four adults on the dining plan so FD is a big savings for us. The trip would also be about 8-10 nights. My cost to go down for one night in a value would be about $375 ($225 for flight, $100 for room, $50 for food) I think the most I can hope for for RO discount at CSR is 25%.

Anyone else extremely curious what the public fd offer will be with the weird dates?

Usually what they post in the bounceback is what will be seen in Apr 2017 for the general public. They probably will not be changed.

RO BB is now available for next year. Once again all of October & November 2017 are excluded. I was only interested in summer dates and fall/winter dates and was told July5-Aug 31. Most of September was included and then Dec8-23. 30% off deluxes. Didn't have time to inquire about other percentages as I'm off to the parks!
