Exciting - I love September trips and Poly CL is my personal favorite. There isn't really a consistent pattern as to when you will receive the e-mail. Sometimes you might not receive one at all. I tend to find that if I don't receive an e-mail within a few days of booking (no matter the length in advance), it's probably not coming. BUT, no worries - you can e-mail IPO at any time. Just include your reservation number in the e-mail. Also make sure to check your spam folder just in case. Come check out the CL thread if you haven't already, lots of Poly CL info over there as well. Happy planning!

Thank you so much.. Yes i am a lurker there too read everything everyday..
We booked as soon as 2017 dates opened up! but i have changed my dates- friends decided to join us! So from my family of 5 this trip is going to be 12! Big FUN!

So i am going to relax on the IPO until we get closer to my ADR dates! THANK YOU again for your reply!

Hello all!! Long time lurker here..
I am very excited as we are booked for my beloved Poly once again! First time as club level!
With that said we aren't going until Sept of 2017 but wondering about when will i receive an email from the IPO? Closer to the ADR mark?
Thank you!

Congrats on booking your first CL stay. The welcome emails from IPO usually come shortly after booking, but since your trip isn't until next fall, you probably won't receive anything until around the 180 day mark. With that said, sometimes it's hit or miss getting the email, so if you don't hear from IPO you can always contact them :).

I have our first trip to the Poly booked I am super excited!! I am so unsure what to request for our room. We are traveling with 2 kids 4,6 I am not sure if I should call and request a longhouse or just see how it goes. I am thinking I would like a 3rd floor with a balcony. I am not sure if I would like Fiji or Samoa. Anyone have any good input!!

You will love the Poly! We like Samoa, but from reports/pics I've seen, Fiji seems to be great as well. With that said, I don't think you can go wrong with any location as the Poly is amazing overall. Happy planning :wizard:.

Super excited - just booked our first ever stay at Poly CL!! We will be there May 19th-24th!! Please add us to the guest list for 2017.

We are doing s split stay and will be at YC May 24th - 29th.

Officially doing the happy dance!

And excited to learn all about this hotel!

Splitting between an Epcot and MK resort is the best of both worlds! Enjoy your first Poly stay :goodvibes.

Aloha All! First time at Poly, and first time DVC rental! Staying two nights at AKL SV DVC, then two nights at the Poly Jan 24-26. Son has a room with the same schedule. Super excited! :yay: We are all adults travelling, should we bother having the owner do a room request? If so, what would be best?

Thank you!

Sounds like a great trip you have planned! Hope you enjoy both your first DVC stay and first Poly stay :wizard:.

Longtime Poly fan here! I've been off the threads since our last trip in June. I was a little sad that with our upcoming challenging summer of 2017 that a trip would not be possible (internship for DD20, wedding, and preparing for two in college ). However, I am now finding myself waiting for the 7 month window to open to book our 2017 trip! Less than a month until I can book!!! This will be our 8th trip at the Poly and I think 17th trip to WDW!!! Come on November!!!! Celebrating DDs 21st and DS graduation from HS!

What a great way to celebrate your DDs birthday and DS graduation! Happy planning :goodvibes.

60 DAYS!!!!

Time to start making FP+ selections! :teeth:

Good luck getting the FPs you want! :)

We are staying at Poly and the first day we get there we need to get to Backyard BBQ as fast as possible. One of our travel party member has trouble walking and will have a motorized scooter waiting at the resort when we get there. What is the best and fastest way to get to Fort Wilderness BBBQ as quick as possible?

Is the delicious juice available at the QS location? Or anywhere I can get some to go when I arrive to drink while I unpack?

I'd recommend a cab or uber for speed, but they will drop you at the front of FW and the BBQ is in the back. You'll then need to take one of their internal busses through the campground. When we stayed at Poly and went to the BBQ, we took the monorail to CR, then the blue flag boat to FW. The boat dock is much closer to the BBQ (but still a bit of a walk). Total travel time was about an hour. But probably your best bet.

Thanks so much. We had planned tho monorail to boat ride also but didn't know about how long it would take. We may have to arrange the Cab or Uber as you mentioned.

Just be aware that using their internal bus system may take just as long. I've never used it, but my understanding is that it operates on a continuous loop. So could be a 20-30 minute wait. However you decide to get there, have fun!!

Returned home last week from a really great first stay at the Poly. We rented points on a studio DVC villa with a standard view and just loved it. Every CM we encountered was so very friendly, especially the super nice lady who checked us in, I wish I remembered her name. She worked very hard to get us close to the location we wanted, third floor Tokelau. We were assigned room 3923 in Tokelau and were very happy. Our room was very clean and we never saw trash or dirty dishes in the hallways as had been previously reported.

We even received real flower leis when we checked in because we were celebrating our 10th anniversary!

We had dinner at Ohana one night and food from Captain Cooks another night and everyone at both places was awesome.

It was a super great stay and would not hesitate to stay there again. I wish I could posta Picture of our view but it keeps telling me my file is too big :confused3 if you looked left out of our balcony you could see a couple of the bungalows through the trees and a Little bit of the water as well. It was a perfect location, close to the Great Ceremonial House, very close the the Oasis pool and a short walk to the TTC.

I booked a standard view and in the online checkin I requested balcony as my first option and Fiji as my second option. Days later, they made a change to the checkin options and my building request was gone. I was really happy to find out that we had been placed in Fiji!

In August, I requested Samoa but snuck in Fiji as a second via Touring Plans fax. We were all absoutely thrilled with Fiji! During our two weeks, every time I walked past Samoa, I was happy we were not there. The marina view from Fiji is amazing! :thumbsup2

We are staying at the Poly using rented DVC points in late January. This will be our third stay in three years, but first at DVC. Just bought our plane tix this morning and can hardly contain my excitement to go back!!!

Last year our twins slept on small blow-up mattresses, but I think we are going to try having them sleep in beds this time with us. They sleep in full beds at home, but we have never slept in a bed with them. I'd sleep with one and DH would sleep with the other. (Them together is a recipe for disaster.)

Does anyone know if you can get the kids bed rails in the DVC rooms? And if they work on the fold out bed?

Can anyone confirm if the music during HalloWishes is being piped into the Poly? I read a few weeks ago when it started it was not but wasn't sure if that was a glitch or if that is how it is...if i'm not mistaken it is piped in during Wishes, correct?

We watched HalloWishes twice from the Poly a week ago and sadly no music.

I would request Somoa. Beautiful views both sides of pool and gardens, close to GCH and just perfect location. If you get lucky and get the lava pool side, you can see the GF at night. Third floor is our favorite place too. My kids always make sure that I request Somoa, that is after they beg me for Hawaii, which is Club Level, lol. My children are officially Disney deluxe snobs.

Sadly it is hit or miss, We were at the resort 2 party nights one had music the other did not.

What does an email from IPO entail? My daughter and I booked CL for my birthday on July 4th. We were club level last time due to an upgrade. This is my first time booking in advance. Has anyone watched the July 4th fireworks from the beach? How busy are they? We do not want to spend the whole day at MK

I just called Disney and added my request to my reservation. I requested Fiji. That's it. I don't care which view as they are both nice and I don't care which floor. Fingers crossed. Now to put it out of my mind as there is nothing else I can do and no sense spending a year worrying about it!

hmmm...wonder why the inconsistency???

I do not know the first night we stayed in the CL lounge and both we and another family were told the music would be piped in and nothing, the second time I was walking around outside and heard the music well. I was shocked that the beach was not crowded
