Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

I believe I asked this before, but I'm not sure if anyone responded. We are staying at CBR one night and then checking out early the next morning and moving over to the YC for the remainder of our trip. I would like to know the quickest way to check-out early in the morning so that we can check-in at YC. Is there someone at Old Port Royale that can do this? I spoke with a CM today on the phone and they suggested doing the online check-in and when filling that our, there is an option to do on-line check-out. Is that correct? I've never heard of an on-line check-out. One of my concerns is that there is a reservation folio slid under our door at CBR after we check-out. I don't want our information getting into the wrong hands.

I just booked CBR when a free dining offer popped up for our stay in September. I had originally booked Coronado but missed out on the free dining for our dates at the end of September. The cast member on the phone told me to keep checking for our dates, so I have been, and I was SHOCKED when this CBR offer showed up AND it's $31 cheaper a night than my original booking without free dining! I'm SO EXCITED, I can't even handle it!

I had been researching Coronado and was familiar with my room requests and now I'm back to square one, which is fine by me. I'm seeing a lot of love for the Jamaica area here and trying to figure out what I should request when the time comes? We booked just a standard room, nothing fancy, so I'm not sure what they'll accommodate. I'm a Disney noob, my first trip having been last December, so any advice on the best area to request and how to go about doing it would be great!

We have been to Disney a few times but this will be our first time at CBR as well. I'm really excited to try it. I am requesting Jamaica or Aruba buildings to be close to the food court. We aren't worried about bus stops as we will be driving.

There are no Preferred rooms in Jamaica or Aruba. Both of those are excellent locations. Normally an ADR is not required for Shutters. It's still a hidden gem in WDW.

Loved our meal at Shutters last time!

I haven't gone to the front desk and checked out of a WDW resort in about 7 years. On check out day, around 4AM, I have an email waiting with our receipt for out stay. Then we just get on Magical Express and go.

Is there someone at Old Port Royale that can do this?

The ONLY thing the Concierge Desk at OPR can't do is Check Ins and Check Outs.

Never heard of Online Check Out. Like I said earlier, haven't had a folio slid under the door at CBR in over 7 years.

YAY! We're staying until Oct 2. I still can't believe we scored this deal, I'm so excited!! I'm going to request Jamaica and Aruba also and hope for the best. I'm just so excited to have gotten this deal that I'm sure anything will be great, haha.

I was looking through some old National Geographics and, in the February, 1989 edition, there was an advertisement for Walt Disney World and Caribbean Beach was featured. Take a look at the price....under $100 a night.

They won't care. We've done multiple split stays and never had a problem just heading to resort #2.

I believe we paid around $89/night at CBR in 1991. I think we had a discount through the Disney Vacation Club.

We stayed there in 1990 and paid $96 per night per room! We had to have 2 rooms since we have 5 kids.

Was just able to change our stay from ASMU to CBR. How are buses to the parks at CBR? Do we have to take the internal shuttle to a main bus stop to get to the parks depending on room location?

No. There are theme park busses (separate from the internal bus) that stop at each of the different groups of rooms at CBR

That's going to be our "easy" night since we're arriving around 5 and are not wasting money on a park ticket for that day. Is there an easy way to get to the Boardwalk area that isn't Uber/taxi?

You're the best! I had thought of that but when I just checked the hours it says DHS closes at 7:30 that day So I'm not sure how that'll work getting back?

Busses run for awhile after the parks close so you should be fine

In October we got papers under our door the night before our departure. It was a print out of our credit card charges.

No. There are theme park busses (separate from the internal bus) that stop at each of the different groups of rooms at CBR

How many stops do they make after leaving the resort? I am debating doing 1 night pre cruise...we have 4 nights booked post cruise at CR...that 1 day we would be at epcot the entire time. My first thought was BWI, but then I noticed the (very attractive) price at POP, just don't know if that would be unbearably inconvenient..SO, now CBR is in the mix. Is the travel pretty easy from CBR to Epcot?

I have only stayed at YC, BC, OKW, Poly, GF, and once at POFQ for 2 nights (Disney Springs only)...so would be first time doing bus to Epcot.
