2016 Free Dining Watch ~ Part 2

Long time lurker - posting for some advice.

We got a Pirate room 11/28-12/6 at CBR with FD. I was able to get my parents a King Room at CBR with free dining also. Ideally (yeah, I know) we'd like to downgrade the room if possible while keeping the free dining (mainly bc of some physical issues that make the long walk hard on a family member). Do I check the website compulsively or call? Calling can't hurt, right?

Check the website, call if you want, check back here to see if anybody sees anything or is cancelling a room. In short, the answer to your question is yes.
 




Omg y'all are so sweet! Yes my girls are 6, 6 and 7 right now. Guess I should update my signature. I'm usually on my phone and don't even see it! They'll be 6, 7 and 8 for our trip. Right now we are booked at POR with the DP for 9/30-10/9 for $5,579 (no ph and old ticket prices) we are pretty much open to any option that saves us money. POR has been the cheapest option but CBR is there too. Most changes to value don't help because of the DP upgrade costs. But we would do 2 standard value rooms if it saved a lot and pray to the Disney gods for rooms near each other lol

I just got done looking again and got excited bc more things are available... But they're all deluxe. We could definitely book a shorter on site stay and then slum it off site for the end of our trip. Oh also we are only getting a 7 day ticket bc we won't be doing the parks on arrival or departure day or on mnsshp day.

Seriously, y'all are so sweet! I plan on staying up late Thursday night looking and my TA will be up with me, so fingers crossed!
I know they have POR rooms available bc I've looked for normal priced rooms. Even doing a preferred room would save us about $1,000 which would pay for us to fix our a/c in our house AND car that decided not to come back on after their winter vacation :headache:

Lol seriously, $900 vs $365. Though I had some trouble getting the phone rep to age up my son to 10. It won't let me do it online so I guess I'll call back some other time and get that fixed.

You can add people up to the room capacity and all will get FD.





Booking before price increases can be a benefit, but if you apply a discount you will be changing your room rates, ticket prices, dining prices (not in this case of course) to the current rates. If we had booked after the price increase, FD would have saved us $1,500, but because we booked before the price increase our saving was "only" $1,000.



I have gotten 3 pin codes in the last month. Each time I open them my heart starts racing in hopes that it would be FD for fall and I wouldn't have to worry when it would be released. Each time I was disappointed. I have 3 MDE accounts and my husband has 1. That many have increased our chances.

Yes, I left the page up and kept refreshing like once an hour! I can help too. What are the dates? Hotels?
 
Since we're all bargain hunters in here and friends don't let friends pay full price I wanted to let you know that JCpenneys is having a sale! Just went to the mall and bought 2 Disney tank tops for our trip for $4 total!!! They were buy one get one free and I had a $10 coupon! Hakuna Matata!
