"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

What is a good place to see the parade with some kind of "seating"? I dont have an issues sitting on the ground, but my mom does. (Getting up is difficult for her ). I thought i saw some chairs on the Main St. Train station balcony.

There are chairs up there, but that makes that a popular place to watch the parade from. You'd probably have to stake out a spot at least an hour in advance.

Ok question for those that have attended the Very Merry Christmas Party this year...do I need anything other than my pdf of the e-tickets? In the past those are the tickets to get you in just making sure its the same this year. For exampe, if my teens go ahead of me and the wife all they need are just the printed pdf of the e-ticket correct? TIA!

I went in November and all I gave them was the pdf print-out of my tickets. I had my magic band but didn't use it for entry.

So I kind of made an impulse decision this morning and bought tickets for the 2nd MVMCP that is going on during our trip! I'm so excited to be going twice! This is the only time we will be at MK that week as we are going to Universal Studios for a few days and I just decided that one night just wasn't going to be enough to get my disney "fix".

I did the exact same thing on an impulse kick.

We went to MVMC Party the night before last, on 12/1.
The hot chocolate was good...not the "brown warm water" we kind of anticipated.
The cookies were a sugar cookie and the first ones we got in the Circus area, were pretty much tasteless and disappointing; tried again in Frontierland and they were actually soft and tasty. Tried again later in the evening in Frontierland and they were the same as the earlier ones in the Circus area. Kind of disappointing considering how much we paid. The photo op for the night was a large round Christmas ball, also disappointing but it is what it is. Everything else was as expected and we will do it again.
Something we will consider in the future is to not use a Parks day on the same day as the MVMC but find other activities to do...like, visit the other resorts to checkout their decorations, hang at our resort, try a different resort's dining experience and then head over to MVMC around 4-ish.
We would strongly suggest having the events marked more clearly/obviously and have Cast Members know what is going on; just seemed disorganized and we had to spend too much time trying to figure out what was going on. We joined a line to meet and greet Snow White and Sleeping Beauty but no one was sure about who was going to be appearing. Also we would suggest a different set up for the 7 Dwarfs, similar to the Princesses or Mickey Mouse venues; using multiple characters so that Guests would have more access time and with autographs. When we went in the past, it seemed like there were more characters who were not the usual ones found in the Parks than there were this time around.
One more thought for now and will add to this once I hear more feedback from my family. Disney should bring back the complimentary family souvenir photo. Not only is it the best of souvenirs for the Guests but it would also promote the PhotoPass and Memory Maker.

Going to the party tomorrow night with 3 other adults. We would like to see Celebrate the Magic and the fireworks. However, since we are considering doing the 2nd parade, will it be next to impossible to get a spot for Celebrate/fireworks? Won't most people from the first parade just stay in their spot, making it hard to find anything? Because of that, should we do the 1st parade, instead? Thanks!

Can anyone clarify if you are able to do a Meet n Greet/photo with Minnie and Mickey together during the party? In their Christmas finery of course.

I have seen some people's photos of this but I cannot locate the character meeting on Kenny the Pirate's map or other party info.

I realize Talking Mickey and Minnie each have their own meet during the party, I am looking for them together (doesn't have to talk).

I am at the party right now and I don't think Mickey and Minnie are meeting together anywhere here. Minnie is with Daisy and Mickey is by himself in his normal place on Main Street.

They meet together in holiday attire at Animal Kingdom.

I have an email for my party tix 12/8. Can I just show the barcode or do I need to actually print something out? I had already received my magic bands, does anyone know if they would automatically get applied given I did everything thru My Dis Experience? TIA

You are reading my mind !!! We were talking about the complimentary photo last night ! This was the first time in years that we did not go to mvmcp --- we found that it just wasn't worth it --- our kids ( 4 and 9) were getting exhausted early, so it really wasn't worth it --- and for some reason, DW and I seemed to remember the party ending at 1am , but we could be mistaken -- we do remember waiting for the hard tix to come in the mail to see what character we got ---

So, last night we went to "Pirate and Pals" --- ( our fave event) --- we took the contemporary walk back to MK after to catch the bus back to POP, and it was packed ---- with all mvmcp people ! And it was no later than 10Pm --- and these were not ppl with late adrs that were hovering around --- we saw all of the wristbands -- same reason why we stopped going --- didn't make sense for just a few hours - ok, sorry for the ramble !!
