I am staying on Property at OKW for the first time. Are there multiple places in each resort to use these mugs?

OKW isn't a great place to purchase refillable mugs. You can refill at Good to Go. And maybe at the Turtle Shack if it is open. But you can refill your mug at any Disney operated resort on the property. Some refill locations may be limited.

No. The previous design lasted about 3 years. The current design has only been in use for 17 months.

I'm actually really excited we finally get "new" ones this trip as we'd went twice during the last design and have too many of those haha!

Yes. You can get them at your resort food court. Just pick out your color and a CM will activate the mug for you at the cash register. You will scan your magic band to utilize the free mug credit.

There aren't forever mugs. They may let you trade your mug in for a one time replacement. But they might not even do that.

The "forever mug program" ended when the Rapidfill program began. You will need to buy a new mug if you want refills.

I was wondering if anyone had the dimensions of the current mug design height, width, diameter, etc. It doesn't have to be exact. I'm looking to see it if will fit into the space for water bottles on a bag I'm looking at purchasing for my trip. I'm pretty sure it would fit, minus the handle.

The handles are not removable. There are only a handful of places in the parks that are self serve, but you could get ice. Every dining location (and many free standing locations) will give you a cup of ice water (or just ice) for free.

Carbonated water (seltzer/soda water/club soda): Has this become available from the rapid refill stations anywhere yet?

Beach Club has this...on July 1, I accidentally filled my DD's mug with club soda, rather than water. Thank goodness I realized before giving it to her.

You can use it at any Disney resort.

So we can grab these mugs from the food court and they will be recognized as "free" when we swipe the magic band? We are a family of 4...do all 4 of us need to grab our own mugs or can one person grab them for everyone? Also, I've read on some posts that you cannot refill at other resorts and some say that you can. Which is it?

Anyone with a magic band for your room and the PIN number can "pay" for the mugs, and they can be used at all Disney owned resorts.

they no longer allow those mugs, you will have to buy new mugs with the chip

I have 8 mugs of the new kind. I am losing weight and my question is this: can I bring an old one if the only reason I want one is because I want to fill it with ice water. I only drink water now and am not trying to cheat the system.
