December 2013 Pin Code Watch

Well so much for that. She wouldn't even check, said I had to call once I got the PIN# to attach it to my name. I know I've had rep's check for me before (and so has everyone else), but this one wouldn't.

Guess I'll have DH call later, I'm so "ugh" about it right now, I don't feel like calling back to ask someone else; my luck, I know I'd get her again...and I didn't catch her name either. Two of my co-workers got emails already, so I know they are coming to my "area." One of them even went with us last year but she's not going this year so we can't try to use hers.

DH is convinced we're not getting a PIN because we're already booked, but some folks have said they've received PIN's even though they were already booked for months, just like us. So either he can call later after work & raise "heck," or we'll just have to wait & hope for a Visa offer (or a public one).

Edited to add: I wonder if it matters which department you end up speaking to. Last time I called, I said "check for discounts" and the gentleman I spoke was happy to look up all our names (or at least, he said he did). This time I said "change reservation." Maybe the different departments have different systems/capabilities - that is, if I ended up speaking with different departments?

I've had cast members check every time I asked, no matter what part of the system I was in. I would definitely try again later.
 
Add us to the list! We are going December 7-14. Of course I chose Pop Warner week......how bad is that?

Got a Pin Code for the dates before we arrive 12/4 and for the day after we leave. Isn't that great? I'm sure Disney was just laughing when they sent that, knowing I had already booked my stay.

Hoping for free dining or at least a room discount - WL with Deluxe Dining, whew!

I'm in the same boat. Booked the 7th - 12th. I was there during pop Warner last year and it wasn't too bad.

Don't feel too bad. I've had no luck asking too. I always seem to talk with less than pleasant people on the phone. They make you feel embarrassed for asking.

Well, don't give up. I called 3 times and they were more than friendly checking for me each time. I even went a little overboard having them check my name, my wife, my two sisters and my parents. Sure glad we did as PIN was found for my mothers name, supposedly emailed to her which she had never seen.

What a tremendous gift. Free dining for 5 people in two rooms over Christmas Week (Dec 22-31). So my advice will be to keep calling. Good Luck!!!

P.S. - little trick I've learned with customer service phone agents is when they pick up and greet you, pay attention to what their name is, and then politely greet them back using their name. It seems to make the conversation more personal for them. I hear the tone in many of their voices change instantly. And if I don't get a friendly person, I hang up and call back until I get one :)

Hey, booked my vacation for december 4th-december 12th. Have been going down once a year for the past 5 years with my fiance. And past 25 years prior with family. And i have yet to receive a pin. Just curious if it is an issue with my email address. I know my mother received one last year. I hope with all the knowledge on this page some one can help.

When I called to check she verified that my email was correct...I never have never rec'd a PIN code via email but I have gotten a few snail mail...except for this time when I REALLY need one.
 
Perseverance pays. Was able to book 2 rooms at Carib Bch w/free dining pin for 12-3 to 12-9. These rooms were not available as of Friday. It pays to keep calling! Good luck to all.
 
Count me in as someone who has NEVER received a pin code. Just unlucky I guess. Anyway, called yesterday about a December check in and was told to check about 90 days before for discounts. This was for AP and Disney Visa.
 
So when I called a short time ago the rep told me that pins are attached to addresses? Is that correct, only addresses? or do I search everyone's name?
 
How will I know if there is a PIN code? I throw out a lot of junk mail and delete a lot of emails!!!! I too am going during Pop Warner :(

I don't know if it's true, but I called yesterday too, and that's what the rep I spoke to said, I think his name was Sanford.
