Just watching. . .reading. . .and subscribing. . . Know when we are going (end of October into early November)----probably will book soon. . .hoping to score some sort of discount option. . .but we'll see. . .

I finally actually figured out the price difference between getting a Free Dining promotion or a room discount (it was either 30% or 40% I dont remember) for my upcoming trip to POR.

I will save $28 if free dining comes out.....

Now I can stop looking daily for free dining during our timeframe.

My big difference came out to $29.88 if they should offer FD so I am not waiting for FD either.

We're heading down to Anguilla the first week in October for our honeymoon followed by a week in Disney! I'm planning on being at Disney from October 8th-15th, and I should have enough points for four free nights at the Swan. I would love to sepnd our last three days at a deluxe, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a discount or a pin!

Crap...the only code I've gotten is a FD code and its only valid till August 13th. I so want to go duing my Bday with my Sister. It'd be her first visit ever and shes in her 40's! Come on pixie dust!!!!!!!!!!

My family is going Sept 28th - October 2 to watch me run in the wine and dine 1/2 marathon. Does anyone have a 40% hotel code for that time

I haven't seen or heard of any codes for that time yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed too. I received a free-dining code but it expires before we'll be traveling.

As far as getting a pin code, there isn't a guaranteed way to do it "no one" knows and Disney isn't telling. I do know that once I started signing up for the various emails, newsletters, surveys, etc. I've received multiple codes each year now.....now to get one for the time we're going is the thing.

p.s. for the free-dining code, I didn't receive an email the CM I was speaking with about a change happened to mention it was attached to my info.

Popping on to track as well. We would like to stay BC GV or BC CL GV for Oct. 2-Oct. 6 which covers our anniversary on the 5th, F&W and a MNSSHP. We have APs, but just haven't seen any codes whatsoever for these dates. We definitely want a %off code since we don't care about the DDP as we are going primarily for F&W and we have TIW.

So what are the tricks that supposedly net a PIN?

Thanks for the info. I got an email today with a pin! Now how in the world do I figure out when it's good for and what it's good for? It just gives me a pin number and a list of discounts for hotels for certain time periods. Here is what it said.

Looks like you would get the advertised rate for the first two nights of your trip, then rack rate the rest of it. Probably not the overall savings you're looking for. I would call reservations, tell them what you got, and let them tell you if there are any other offers associated with your pin #.

Got a pin code for October and applied it for our trip. The only problem with it was that we are staying at the BC in a garden view. The pin only works for Water view. so we upgraded, it still is a good deal but not as good as if we could have gotten it on our garden view room. Still happy though

I got a pin code for a % off a value or moderate room for October...the day after I booked for that exact time. I was able to still apply it, but I'm still hoping for free dining!

I have only stayed in Value/Mod and get them but ONLY to one of my email accounts registered with them so...

I have gotten a bunch lately. I dont remember ever getting one before (could be wrong because we always go during a free dining promo). my TA told me to play around on the site because no one is sure how they come. So I got a bunch of pins after I:
saved offers on the site
ordered a DVD to home and work
ordered maps to home and work

I dont know if that did it but....
