I guess I will keep this thread alive all on my own....:(

Hi guys!!

I was wondering if anyone had stayed at the Ayre's Hotel on Katella. And if any of you have what did you think of it? And do you have any pictures?

Hi all wise ones--- anyone have any pics of Marriott's Towne Place Suites in Anaheim? I can get a good rate, it has a fitness center (a must in our hotel choice- college soccer training) and I don't mind driving to the park.

Any help would be appreciated....
Jill

Hojos water play area for kids is not a real pool. The real pool is on the other side of the property, so if you plan on taking your 4.5 yo to that area, you likely will have to stay and supervise her.(In other words, no relaxing pool time for you. You could sit at one of the tables and chairs if they are available or in the :scared1: jacuzzi.) The other hotels pools are small-ish and like the Hojos main pool, lack any particular theme. Some of the pools are literally in the parking lot of the motel and some are on the roof top. So you'd have to look at each property's website and check their amenities to see what they offer.

Hojos only has microwaves in the Premium DL facing rooms in Bldg 1, the Kids Suites in Bldg 1 (Highway view), the Deluxe Queen rooms in Bldg 2 (pool view), the King Suite and the Queen suite. They do not have a free breakfast available. However, a regular continental breakfast in any of the regular motels on Harbor Blvd should not be the deciding factor in where to stay, because a lot of those places serve junk. (Dried out donuts, toast, etc, and no protein whatsoever.) I have heard very good things about the Candy Cane Inn Breakfast. It's considered to be very hearty. I don't know if there is any protein involved but they do have pictures of the spread on their website and it looks good for free.
Hojos has a mini sundry store in Bldg 1 that sells single serving sizes of breakfast items like milk and cereal along with souvenirs, and all kinds of other stuff.
If worst comes to worst, if you stay at Hojos or Fairfield Inn you will have to walk by a Mcdonald's to get to the park (if you choose to walk on that side of the road) so you could always stop in there to get a McMuffin or breakfast platter and it would be far better than any dried up donuts from the nearby continental breakfasts. I think the Camelot Inn is on the other side of McD's.
HTH!

We stay in the standard King rooms in Bldg #2 and have always had both a fridge and microwave.

Another poster mentioned that ALL the King rooms face the freeway...not sure where this info came from (maybe I misread??) but I can tell you that not ALL of them do. We always get a standard King in Bldg #2 and it usually faces the garden pool.:goodvibes

They have a free breakfast that was very good one day there was biscuits & gravy, they always had fresh waffles, eggs, sausage or bacon, cereals, danishes, muffins, bagels, yogurt and fruit. We only did one nights Social Hour (free) 5p-7p where they had chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, 2 soups, fruit and salad. Heard there was a taco night, we stayed in the parks.

Thank you Mike. I haven't seen you 'round these parts for a while. Hope you and yours are well.

I do have a picture of the sorcerer's hat taken directly underneath, but I coose this shot since the "Disneyland Hotel" is in the shot.

Glad to see others posting on this thread. I think this might be better served if the moderator moved it to the planning DL boards instead of community where I started it. Just a thought.

This from behind the ill fated waterfalls at DLH.
