The Charmed One, congratulations on your first Dooney :yay: You have some great placement :woohoo: I love Tink and the castle too

Thank you, I do love it, I haven't used it yet.

Can anyone help living in the UK we get alot of rain I'd not take the bag out if it was raining but if it started whilst I was out would it be okay or should I just used it in summer if we get one :confused3.

I also love the Lucy, but I'm waiting to see if they do the WDW anniversary bag, wish I lived over there it would be so much easier.

Forgot to mention, while in the MK, they now have their 40th anniversary patterns out in shopping bags (huge reusable one), photo albums and other merchandise.

This pattern is similar to the DL55 pattern and I would imagine they would try to use this for an anniversary Dooney. I would likely purchase a bag or tote with this pattern since it is my "home" park...(I live in jersey so it's my park in the sense that it's east)

I say all this because the Lucy doesn't look anything like a 40th anni pattern, it just looks like another style of the sketch #2.

That's the anniversary print on a laptop bag. DH looked at it and said he doesn't think it would translate well into a bag but I reminded him of the DL55 line. He's skeptical.

Do you mind me asking a question.
Do you think disneystore.com will start selling these laptop bags. I e-mailed last night and they said they don't sell them online. Will they ever sell them online, it's so hard in the UK, I looked on laughingplacestore site, it's $20.00 in WDW they are charging $26.14 plus $25.00 P&P Total $51.14, I don't mind paying but not that much extra, where else could I look e-bay not much better, my dh says we can't go to disney this year and I know we can't :sad2:..

Thank you Wendy x.

Maybe one of your DIS friends can get it for you. I am excited to get this laptop bag too and am hoping they do start selling it online. I'm not going until September/October (I'm actually going to be there ON the actual 40th!) but if you can't find a way to get it by then, I wouldn't mind picking one up for you.

According to D&B "polyvinyl-coated cotton fabric is generally water repellent and should repel most soil"

So theoretically carrying it in rainy weather shouldn't be a problem.

I was more concerned with the light colored vacchetta leather darkening unevenly if it has gotten wet, but now that I think about it, I bet the oils from your skin are worse where that's concerned than rainy weather, and you can't avoid touching it, so what are you gonna do? :rotfl:

Honestly I think the Disney Dooney's would be fine in in rainy weather, but I admit I have no first hand experience because I tend to play it safe, leave my nicer handbags home, and just use my LeSportsac bag if the weather is bad. We don't normally have many rainy days where I live though.

Wendy,
We got in a bit of trouble for offering to buy, sell, trade here. But that's all allowed on the facebook page. I think it's been pretty quiet over there lately, but you might want to check there. I can't help with WDW bags, but I picked up DL bags for several folks at cost. I bet there are Florida folks who would do the same with the WDW bags.

Ooops! I honestly didn't know that it wasn't allowed. It was just a suggestion!!

Hey Dooney Fans,

If anyone has been thinking about picking up a bag from the tonal or Wonder collection, today might be a good day. :thumbsup2

Since they're sale priced on Disney Shopping, you can get an additional 25% off with "BONUS25" today.
You can get $5 shipping on an order of $50 or more with "SHIPFIFTY".
I assume you can stack both the above with 10% off for using a Disney Visa, but I don't have one, so I don't know for sure.
Don't forget cash back sites if you use one.

You can get the $15 cosmetic bag with the sale priced stuff, but you'll get hit with an extra $5 in shipping fees, even if you use the SHIPFIFTY code. Just a heads up on that one.

I just tested it and you can stack the disney Visa discount. It's a great deal!

I almost wish I hadn't looked at the forum today because I wouldn't have known about the sale. Now I'm tempted by both of those bags plus clothes for the kids. I keep telling myself that I have enough but it is tempting for 60 bucks to pick up a letter carrier. I like the Wonder barrel bag too. The thing that is really stopping me is that I ordered a couple Harveys' bags earlier this weekend. They have a sale this month if you use the code thankyou for 15% off. Between that and no tax with Harveys compared to Disney (I am in FL), I saved quite a bit on what my order with Disney would have been. I thought it was interesting that they have different style Disney Harveys bags between the two websites (Harveys website has more colored comic print styles and Disney has more Minnie prints).

Shoot! I bought a wristlet this morning and didn't even think to use the Visa code. I did remember to use eBates, so I guess that's something...

Lots of speculation about a possible WDW 40th Anniversary release, but I don't think anything has been confirmed officially.

DCL tends to keep cruise line merchandise exclusive to the ships. I've seen Castaway Cay shirts at Character Warehouse a time or two, but I'd be surprised if DCL Dooney's ever showed up there. I was able to get something I purchased on the Magic replaced through WDW Merchandising, but I had the sku # and they did ask for my cruise date. I don't think you can call and order cruise merchandise just because.
I think your options are to take a cruise, go the e-bay route, or find someone who is cruising and is willing to pick something up for you.
