I Kicked it I Played it and now..Wheeling & Dealing at the WL final 9/9 p87/88

Jen and I will be having dinner in Epcot - Garden Grill to be exact. Jen swears by this place. Good old comfort food. Supposedly the fish is really, really good. I am looking forward to trying something new. After dinner we will be watching Illuminations. I packed my tripod, so perhaps I will lug it to dinner in hopes that I get some good pictures of Illuminations.

Oh yeah - and this will be my chance to hit the cave. So many margaritas, so little time!

:thumbsup2 for one week from today being at Epcot (two weeks from today we'll be at Epcot and having dinner at Biergarten). I can't wait to see your photos of Illuminations.

I remember eating at that restaurant as a little girl. I can't remember what it was called then and I don't think it was a character meal. But the fact that the restaurant revolved as you were eating was fascinating to me and was so fun to peek over the booth and see scenes from Living with the Land.

I hadn't heard GG specifically singled out for fish. Good to know. :thumbsup2

Hope you enjoy! Take notes on your favorite margaritas for May! :upsidedow

I'm behind again, but caught up.

Your trip sounds so great! I've done the no DH trip, and the no kids trip but never both at the same time with someone that has a true appreciation for Disney.

I have to comment on the Hurricane. Yes, it is a drink and if it's done right it's pretty strong. I had my first one at the place that made them famous, Pat O's in New Orleans on Bourbon Street. Don't tell my kids but I was 16 at the time. The only time I ever tried to get in underage.

Woo hoo for GG! We've never eaten there! DD wants to, so it's on my list for March!

I'm looking forward to your review of the Garden Grill and Illuminations pics too! I can't wait to see which margarita you pick and what you think about it, we will need notes for May!! You'll be back before I get to that part in my TR :rotfl:

I'm all caught up!
Your plans sound absolutely wonderful! You will love being able to walk to the park! The walks to DHS and Epcot were among our favorite things!

Can't wait for all your pictures! :)

I knew you did!

Mondays must be Epcot evenings. I do like hitting Epcot in the evening early in my trip! I hope I get some good pics. I think if I bring the tripod I might do OK

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Does it still rotate or is that broken? Anyway - I think I would be fascinated by that as a little kid, too.

I hope the fish is good, because I prefer fish over meat (except at LeCellier )

Oh I will definitely be taking notes and whichever margaritas I don't get to I will put on the May list!

I'm behind again, but caught up.

No worries - I managed to get behind on your TR as well, but I got caught up on that, Well, almost - I think I still need to go back and reread it because I was getting tired. It was a hard day of Dis'ing! :rolleyes1

A no kids and no DH trip with a Disney fan should be a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to it.

Woo hoo for GG! We've never eaten there! DD wants to, so it's on my list for March!

I am going to do better with meal pictures this trip - I promise! I will write a good review for you!

We have never eaten at Garden Grill so I am eagerly looking forward to your review of it!

See above! Ditto for you too Jackie! :goodvibes

I hope I get some good Illuminations pics this time. Last Mays were OK. I want to see if I can do better.

So which margaritas did you try?????? Do you have a favorite because it seems like they all come well recommended. I think I am going to start with the blood orange mostly because I like the name.

I'm all caught up!

Welcome back Dawn - I hope you had a wonderful trip and I can't wait for all of YOUR pictures. I still haven't figured out 2 of Caitlin's clues and I don't know whether I ever will.

Ahhhh, the tequila cave! I'm sure you'll make up for lost time - and they have so many interesting margaritas to try!

Can't wait to see the pics you get of Illuminations :goodvibes

We ate at GG a few years ago and really enjoyed it, food was pretty good and the character interaction was great.

.....Jen and I will be heading to Epcot in the morning. That's a given because we have lunch at LeCellier at 1:45? Maybe its early - I better check my notes. If its that late I will be REALLY starving and will likely need a substantial snack because I am an early lunch girl. I am usually starving by 11am at Disney - seriously, no lie. I don't know what it is, but I am ALWAYS hungry for lunch unless I have a REAL breakfast - I'm talking breakfast buffet.

I am sure we will do all the usual headliners at Epcot - Soarin, Mission space (I better warn Jen that I am a green team) and Test Track. I also want to design a new coaster or fighter jet on SOAT.

Because I spent minimal time in the World showcase last may, I really want to make the rounds. I haven't seen the movie in China for several years so I think I would enjoy that. I know that I have seen France and Canada more recently, so I think its China's turn.

Our plans for the evening include MNSSHP. Dinner will obviously be counter service. I think today is going to be a long day and I suspect I will be dog tired by the end of it. No I don't have a costume. I think I will bring Denny's T shirt from last year - the one with vampire mickey. But I may just wear regular clothes. Boring, I know, but I have never been really good at halloween costumes. I had great intentions of making a tie dye Mickey in orange and black, but you see how that went. Maybe I should spend less time Dis'ing!

We are early lunch people, too. I would never last until 1:45 without a snack. Fortunately, since you will be at Epcot, there are lots of yummy snacks to choose from! :thumbsup2

Oh, design a jet on SOAT. That's what Charles and I were going to do for our second time, but we didn't feel like standing in line for an hour.

I have to eat 3 meals a day when we're at Disney and snacks too. I need lots of energy and fuel for that energy. I think the smells help to make me even more hungry. There is food everywhere you look.

I always say I'm going to spend more time in the World Showcase just looking around. I haven't seen the China film since I was in high school and I've never seen the France film. I think the goal to see one film a trip is good. We finally hit the new version of the Canada film in Feb. The kids had never seen it.

We are early lunch people too (we're also early dinner people -- we love those Early Bird specials they offer for us old folks ;)).

We really enjoy the Canada and China movie...just wish you could sit like you do in France.

We're not wearing costumes either for the MNSSHP. I'm going to buy us each pirate hats and that will be our costume.

I think your plasn for that day/evening sound great.

we always mean to be early lunch people and yet somehow, always end up with a late lunch and we didn't eat much for breakfast! You'd think we'd learn...

It's funny as we are all early lunch on week/school/workdays.

Good thing we eat late dinners! You can't go wrong with Vampire Mickey.

OOOH GG sounds like a great meal!!!

I hope you get all the WS your heart desires this trip!!

The making your own rollercoaster sounds way too cool!! I would love to do that!!! Have fun!!!!

I must say Mary Ellen, that is one thing I have never done....researched good running paths at my resort! :rotfl2: I think you should get down there for a marathon sometime :cheer2:
You can't go wrong with the blood orange margarita. Very tasty....and healthy with the orange...which reminds me...I had a very good raspberry drink at The Wave...I know you liked the smoothies, but this was delicious!! So, as an appetizer start off with the blood orange and then have the clasica as your main. That was absolutely delicious too!! :)
Whatever you don't get to, we will make up for it in May!! :thumbsup2
