Our deposit was sent in last night.

Yesterday I spent all day checking my email for the quote so I could pay the deposit (my boss actually asked me why i was continually checking my iPhone LOL), today I am spending all day awaiting the confirmation (hopefully I am hiding the iphone use better .....

Tracy is killing me LOL..... Kidding Tracy I know how busy you are with all these.. I can't imagine

We were not on 1.0 but we just sent in our Deposit for 2.0. Yea only 558 more days. We are booked in a cat 6, but neither of us has been on a cruise before and my DW for sure wants a window but a veranda would be better.

We plan on bringing ours. DD will be 7.5 and the boys will be 4 (almost 5) and 2.

Perfect...we'll have two girls along, a 3 1/2 yr old and a nearly 7 year old (her birthday is Dec 17th). Although leaving them at home sounds tempting, our eldest is super-excited about this cruise. We had booked the Grand Floridian Pirate Cruise for her last December and at first she thought she was going on a Disney Cruise. (We watch far too much Disney on the Travel Channel).

Maybe a mini pre-cruise meet for the kiddies is in order too (like a day at Bay Beach or the NEW Zoo).

podcast cruise for DS and myself. Couldn't resist after all the fun podcasts from the first cruise.

We just made our deposit tonight.
We were already booked on the Magic departing the day before the Podcast Cruise. It was hard to decide to go back to another 4 night cruise, but everyone sounds as though they had so much fun- we didn't want to miss out!

I haven't decided yet if I'll pay the deposit...depends on who the 2nd person in the cabin will be! My kids are all adults, and I wouldn't mind taking one with me - if they could miss work or school. It's kind of hard to know that 18 months in advance.

Our kids are adults too. We just booked 2 cabins- one for DH and I and the other in the names of our sons. I seriously doubt either of them will be able to go by then. They should both be out of college and working.
BUT... we are trying to convince friends of ours to go instead. And we figure we have until 90 days prior to the cruise to make final decisions, name changes, etc.
I wanted to be safe, not sorry, about having friends or family go with us. If we end up giving up the other cabin- at least we will have the whole DIS family along!!!!!

If you think you will have a second person but are not sure who it will be yet, ask Tracy if DCL will allow you to list the second person as TBA. I know other cruise lines allow this but I've never done it wilth DCL, so I don't know if they do. You would still have to pay the deposit for both but will be able to add the second name later. And if it turns out that you will go solo, you can just remove the second person. Or you could just book yourself and add the second person later. You could always ask Tracy what she would recommend to lock in the best rate. She is the expert.
