Over the river and through the FUN!

We'll be in Magic Kingdom on Saturday, if we stick with the plan. I have written down in my plans to give you a birthday shout out!

Great update and pics.

Nice to see you in a pic.

Brooklynnsmommy try to take it slow this week I know that will be hard to do.
Getting loads of diapers is great!!!!

Memom I hope you get to rest a lot before Wednesday and your cold is all gone by then. Its no fun being sick. What color is the bathroom?

Tammy

I hope she has a good week. Even though she has to work all five days, she's in the office four of those. She has a full day with kids today only, I believe. That should help.

We just painted the bathroom walls off-white again.

Glad you are feeling some better, and I hope you continue to a FULL recovery before you leave in just a few days! :yay:

Can I get in your suitcase??

Nice Dis meet pic, and Jill does look a lot like you.

Have a wonderful trip!! And be safe!!!

My suitcase will probably be full by the end of this day. You and Matt need to take a long weekend this spring and go down for the Flower and Garden Festival. Maybe you could entice him a little by promising some time at ESPN Club or renting some watercraft or something.

I hope you get to feelin' better. I finally got put on some antibiotics so I'm gettin there. I'm gonna miss you when you leave though!!!

I'm just doing OTC stuff. This morning I added icky-sticky eyes to the mix. The fever is gone, which was the big thing. My throat is still sore from the drainage, and the coughing is annoying, but when I go to the store, I'm going to get something more cough specific. I'll get it under control by the time I leave.

I'll have to catch up on the Attraction of the Day when I get back.

I hate when I have a bad cough because I get into these uncontrollable coughing fits. Heres to feeling better! Especially before WDW!

That's why I stayed home from church yesterday. I've done that many times, too, and there's nothing you can do about it but go outside and cough your brains out. It's horrible. I wanted to spare the nice church people having to hear all that. :)

Have a great trip - I'm right behind you!:woohoo:

You too. I think you are just getting there when we are leaving. I look forward to seeing your pictures and hearing your stories.

Great update and pics.

Nice to see you in a pic.

I better go ahead and say Happy Birthday before I leave.
Happy Birthday!!!

I totally understand about the coughing! My cough finally went away after having it for WEEKS. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that none of us gets sick before our trip!

I hope your cough is gone by Wednesday!

Finishing the evening at Epcot.

We went over toward America, got some supper, and waited for the Candlelight Processional to begin.

What we ate.

IMG_0424.jpg

The singers began to enter the theater.

IMG_0423.jpg

We just stood outside the theater to watch, but we could see and hear just fine. I couldn't get very good pictures, though, because I was about the third row back in the standing crowd.

John O'Hurley was the narrator.

The singing was beautiful. I think this is a very touching presentation.

This is the same lady that was there last year doing the drumming and about twenty other things. I don't know if there is only one set of musicians for this show or whether they alternate. I don't know anything about music, but it was fascinating to me that someone could keep up with so many different things and not miss a beat, and she does it so calmly and smoothly.

IMG_0434.jpg

The others left before it was over, but I stayed.

A few pictures as I walked out of Epcot.

The lights were pretty, and it was a nice night. We'd had a long, fun day and an opportunity to meet some Dis friends.

The next day was only a little bitty bit of a day, because we had to get on the road early for a long day of travel. It was short, but we did have some magic on that last day, because Brooklynn got a special surprise and we had another fun Dis meet!

I'm going to find those pictures today and finish this out. I'd like to start to new report before I leave so that Jill can do live updates.

The new report, for anyone who is coming along, will be called:

A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip.

That's where we'll be hanging out until this summer, when we head out for another all-family (hopefully) ten day trip to Pop Century.

Beautiful pictures of Epcot -- I never get tired of seeing those white sparkly dandelion looking puffs of lights.

Let us know when you get the link going on the new TR, too!

I am so excited that you are leaving Wednesday -- knowing you are down there enjoying yourself will make my day a little brighter -- when my middle schoolers start getting on my nerves I will just stop and think, "MeMom is at our favorite place right now!" :goodvibes

The candlelight processional is THE reason I want to do a December trip. I think it would be awesome to see, even if you were standing outside the theater. I love those white puffball lights at Epcot, such a neat whimsical to celebrate the season. I wonder how they'd look in my front yard. ;)

I love the picture of the Christmas Tree and Spaceship Earth, so beautiful! I love how it reflects in the water. :goodvibes

You are so close to leaving! I'm so excited for you. :woohoo:

I can't wait to see what Brooklynn's surprise is. I love the picture with Memom. You and Jill do look alike. I look like my mom too. I hope you have a great trip, and I hope you don't miss Brooklynn too much. I am excited about the new report. It would be weird not to have a Memom trip report to read.

MeMom I hope you're feeling better today and have gotten rid of that cough!

Another update with some great Epcot night shots. The Candlelight Processional looks really pretty and touching too.

I can't believe that your TR is almost over here, it went so quick! :guilty: What day do you leave this week? I can't wait to read your new TR when you get back and I hope that your whole family can go on a trip in the summer :goodvibes :thumbsup2

I hope you have a super duper time on your trip. You are sooo lucky to be going. I wish I had this week off.. I would have booked a trip to Disney. The airline prices are not too bad.
Memom - you are staying at pop right? If you happen to go to everything pop, can you let me know if they still have the turkey ciabatta?? I think that is what I got last time I stayed there. it was sooo yummy.

i will always think of him as elaine's crazy boss from seinfield!

this was the first "park" christmas tree i saw in december and i just thought it was so beautiful!!!

Memom...you got alot done this weekend for not feeling so well! Yes diapers are expensive and lucky for us FIL works for a medical supply company and they have cases of diapers there that are the same price as the biggest case you can get at wal-mart but has twice the amount of diapers. They have bought all of the diapers for each of their 5 grandkids so far...so we are pretty blessed. Too bad formula isn't cheaper there or we would be getting it there too, but we can't complain!

Hope you have a great time in WDW! "see" you when you get back!

You too. I think you are just getting there when we are leaving. I look forward to seeing your pictures and hearing your stories.

Thank you! I hope you are well when you leave, and check in on my TR when you (oh, when I) get back!:goodvibes

I hope your cough is gone by Wednesday!

I've had coughs that held on for weeks, too. It's so annoying. This one is slowly subsiding, for which I am grateful.

Beautiful pictures of Epcot -- I never get tired of seeing those white sparkly dandelion looking puffs of lights.

Those puffy things are pretty, aren't they? Very different.

We're probably starting the new one tomorrow, so be on the lookout. If Jill doesn't mind, I'll let her start it, as usual; especially so because she'll be a big part of this trip by relaying updates to you guys while we are there. This report will also include our pre-Disney trip family parties, too, as we count down to the summer trip.

I'll update often, so that you can be there...sort of.

The candlelight processional is THE reason I want to do a December trip. I think it would be awesome to see, even if you were standing outside the theater. I love those white puffball lights at Epcot, such a neat whimsical to celebrate the season. I wonder how they'd look in my front yard.

It is beautiful. When the crowd sings together, it is very moving. People from all walks of life are gathered there in that one place singing softly together - I think that's cool.

Here's to hoping you're having a good Monday! Soon you'll be in the MK enjoying Main Street!

Productive again. Still working on the back room. Tomorrow first thing I will go to the grocery store and stock the house up for the three boys that live here - Trent, Drew, and the cat - and the many boys and one girl, Ashley, who will be coming in and out while I am gone.

I remember vividly leaving Main Street in November. I was so sad. I'm putting those pictures up soon, as we finish out this report. As I got them ready, I could just picture myself right there again so easily!

I love the picture of the Christmas Tree and Spaceship Earth, so beautiful! I love how it reflects in the water. :goodvibes

You are so close to leaving! I'm so excited for you. :woohoo:

Yes, it is a pretty sight, and a really nice camera would have captured it so much clearer. It probably would be a beautiful picture with an awesome camera.

I want you guys to be excited for me until I get there and get excited for myself. I will be thinking of all of you as I go to the different places that I know are your favorites and see or do something that reminds me of all my Dis friends.

Brooklynn will be getting some presents. Last night on the phone, I asked her what she wanted me to bring her. She said a little present and a big present! I have had to fight myself from not getting in the car and going down there one more time before I leave, just for a few hours, but they've been busy and I've been busy, and we've already gone through our goodbye tears, so there's no reason to do that again. I'll try to be tough and make it through, but I cannot wait until I see her again!!!

When I get back, we're planning to do a Disney Day party for Brooklynn and the cousins, and we'll share all of that with you guys, too.

MeMom I hope you're feeling better today and have gotten rid of that cough!

Another update with some great Epcot night shots. The Candlelight Processional looks really pretty and touching too.

Cough, cough... no, not yet. Cough, cough... but it is getting a little less frequent, I think. Maybe I'm just doing some wishful thinking, though. I was coughing the whole time I was writing that!

We leave Wednesday morning. I hope everyone in the family can go this summer and/or at Christmas time. I love it when everyone is there plus friends!

I hope you have a super duper time on your trip. You are sooo lucky to be going. I wish I had this week off.. I would have booked a trip to Disney. The airline prices are not too bad.

I'm about to put pictures of you up soon!

Yes, we're at Pop. I'll check out the sandwich for you. I may even get one and take a picture of it for you to enjoy!

i will always think of him as elaine's crazy boss from seinfield!

this was the first "park" christmas tree i saw in december and i just thought it was so beautiful!!!

That's what I think of, too. I still watch that occasionally in syndication.

We'll let you know for sure. It'll start tomorrow, whenever Jill gets a chance to start it.

Memom...you got alot done this weekend for not feeling so well! Very nice! It's great when family and friends can help take care of each other. Jill says she has lots of diapers in several different sizes now, so that's a nice gift from her friends.

Thank you! I hope you are well when you leave, and check in on my TR when you (oh, when I) get back!:goodvibes

I will read yours. I'll be back and in the thick of TCAP testing, so I'll be DISing like crazy to retain my sanity!

*********************************

We have come to the last day - the saddest day of all trips.

I started off with a walk.

003.jpg

I went over to Sports,

004.jpg

and then back to Music.

005.jpg

We boarded a bus for Magic Kingdom.

Jill and Brooklynn waiting to be let in.

007.jpg

Brooklynn loves to hula hoop while waiting.

008.jpg

009.jpg

While she was entertaining us with her wondrous abilities, a nice lady came over to Jill and asked if she thought Brooklynn would like to have a Belle dress. She said her daughter got it and didn't want it any more. She said it was itchy. Jill knew Brooklynn would LOVE a Belle dress! She accepted it and thanked her very much. Then the lady set off to find another little girl to give a Cinderella dress to. We thought that was so sweet of her. Instead of fighting with her daughter to make her try to wear the dresses, she just shared the magic with two other little girls. Jill will tell you, Brooklynn has worn that Belle dress almost daily since she got it!

When Brooklynn realized what was happening, she immediately had to put the dress on.

010.jpg

011.jpg

She insisted on the shoes, too, even though they were way too big and it was much too cold.

012.jpg

Here she is checking them out.

014.jpg

She was quite a sight.
She thought she was absolutely a beautiful princess!
And she was!

Thats some nice disney magic!! Brookyln looks WAY TO DARN cute in her "new" belle dress.

Awww, how sweet of that nice lady to give Brooklynn the Belle dress. I just love that random magic that only happens at Disney. :lovestruc

You will have a fabulous trip and you will be excited once you get there and you are immersed in everything Disney. :goodvibes

Too cute! and very nice of that lady as well. Was she the Fairy God Mother in disguise?

It was time for the morning welcome.

017.jpg

018.jpg

019.jpg

Thank you, Walt and Mickey, for creating such a nice place for us to visit.

023.jpg

The first ride was Dumbo, as you know.
It was a little more difficult to fit Brooklynn in now that she was a princess.

026.jpg

027.jpg

As they were riding Dumbo, snowbell called to meet us. We were on the phone trying to find each other as she walked up to me. We watched and talked as Dumbo went 'round and 'round.

She had bought Brooklynn a Christmas ornament to put on her tree. That was so thoughtful.

Here are three sweet Disney girls.

028.jpg

We decided we'd all ride Small World together.

029.jpg

031.jpg

035.jpg

040.jpg

041.jpg

042.jpg

043.jpg

047.jpg

After that, we headed for the Carrousel.

050.jpg

A princess on a special pony.

052.jpg

Typical DISer - I caught her taking pictures!

053.jpg

Everyone say hello to snowbell!

054.jpg

We said our goodbyes to her and told her we were jealous that she got to stay at Magic Kingdom, but we had to go.

It was great to meet you, snowbell!
I hope our paths will cross again!
