October 2008 code watch

I just called and was told DGL was not a code of theirs. :confused3

Here are the codes posted with the current gp offer.
If you booked online:
FWT for MYW
DGP with dining
MMP with dlx dining

If you didn't book online:
DGL for MYW

QXZ with dining (code reported as QXD on mousesavers)

UVL for DLX dining

I got 12 nights at POP, 10/16-10/28, using code DGL, plus 2 ten day MYW parkhoppers for $1241. I was very happy. :)

And if you need a fridge at POP from Oct 5 to 11 (those are the only days left in October, but there are November, December and 2009 dates too)....here's another swap to try:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1923101

It's not free, but it's brand new (being used Sept 1 for the first time) and what she's doing is collecting money and once she's reimbursed herself, she'll keep collecting until there is enough to replace it if it's lost so that those signing up far in advance won't be out of luck.....and then once she has enough to replace it, she'll start issuing refunds to everyone starting with the first users.....so eventually you'll get a refund so it would be free then.

I'm using a pin code I recieved for a room only at the ft wilderness cabins. 6 nights is 1566.25. I think that is about $232/night before tax. Is this a good deal? I saw that passholders were getting it for around $174 in september. My dates are 10/11-10/17 so I am not sure if that was valid or not. thanks for any input

On the phone right now using FWT - going to save a butt load of money at YC ... getting a discount of ~$2300 back off our booked trip.

what is FWT?

It was the MYW code given ...

I reran the numbers by going through the online booking and its actually only a savings of about $800 ... our resi is no longer CL its just water view. Heck for all I know its no savings at all, I might have just gotten us into a horrible view. I guess it will be with $2300 more in my pockets though.

Our Pop Century fridge/toaster swap has availablilty from 10/26 to 10/31.

:goodvibes

We've only been to Disney once before & stayed off site. We booked our MYW trip for this year through a travel agency -- staying at Pop, 2 adults 2 kids, 7 day park hopper passes, & the dining plan.

This is all new to me, so please bare with me. How would I go about seeing if one of these codes could be applied to our reservations? We paid our vacation in full already. Does that matter? Do I call Disney or the travel agent? Would the travel agent be able to find out if we can use the code.

Any help and guidance is much appreciated.

There is a general public code available from Sept 28 to Oct 9. It is on the WDW site. The cost of a Value is 59/night. It is MXK. You can book it directly on the WDW site if your Travel Agent can't help you and your dates are within the range.

We've been trying to get a good rate for one night at a value or moderate for 10/11 check in to stay before we move to the BCV for Sun-Fri. I've been checking on line continually since the AP rates came out and also with the general public discount Early October Room Only. There seems to be much back and forth on if the MXK code is thru 10/9 or thru 10/11. Here is what I was able to find on line for one night 10/11 check in (including tax but no insurance):

AP discount with SXS: CSR or CBR $185.62 (this rate must mean no AP discount available for that night!! )
General discount with MXK: CSR $122.62 no rooms available at CBR

I finally broke down and called Disney reservations today and got a very helpful lady who confirmed the MXK code includes check in on 10/11. She tried that code and came up with $122.62. Then she volunteered to try and ADD the SXS code for the AP discount and was able to get us CSR for $111.37 (including tax but no insurance) :thumbsup2

Every little bit helps! I've learned once again that if I don't see a room available on line with the discount rate you are looking for to call!

My travel agent was able to get an AP discount for POFQ for $111.37 ($99+tax) for dates of Oct 4-8.
