TiggerLvPooh or Johnsonet - QUESTION about bldgs. I will have a GV room. Can you tell which would be the better chance of "seeing" the lagoon or having a better view? Either Tokelua (I'msure I spelled it wrong) on the side away from the pools..... or Samoa on the side of the volcano pool? I'm thining we'd prefer Tokelua instead of Somao b/c it'd be quieter, right? But I'm just hoping ot have some sort of view of the water or beach area and not just all bushes. Any thoughts if you pass by those areas?

I'm scrolling back and forth and cannot seem to find the answer....about room service. I think I read it was 2 adults credits but is that PER ENTREE? (Seems awfully steep since you can get to the Luau or HDDR for the same 2 credits!)

Approx how much to sweatshirt and tshirts cost there???

Melanie

I understand two "adult" credits but are they "table service" or "counter service?"

It is 2 TS credits per entree ordered, I believe. Hope that helps. :goodvibes

JOHNSONET....thanks for the pics of the arcade. I was wondering if there was one at the Poly. I have a feeling during some of our downtime will be spent there. I saw tables outside, is it close to capt cooks, could you take your lunch over there. I was considering going over to the GF counter services (the name escapes me at the moment.) they seemed to have alot on their menu and it said it was by their arcade. Does anyone know how it is there?

I know people have said Capt cooks has tonga toast for breakfast, is there anything else? The menu posted on this site doesn't sound promising, I think it just said cereal and pastries.

Thanks!

It's really thin and soft :thumbsup2

Speaking of Kona, I need to wake up DD and go get some Tonga Toast  We had a res. for 'Ohana this a.m. but my daughter told me last night she didn't want to go. wanted to go back to Kona. (That's my girl ;) )

Your daughter has great taste!:goodvibes Kona, yum!

That sweatshirt is so cute and looks comfy.

Two adult table service per meal. I haven't used the current dining plans for room service but I'm sure the same rules apply...one entree, one dessert and one nonalcoholic beverage/person for the basic plan.

There is also a pizza option on the DDP. I think it's two adult table service credits for a large pizza, two beverages and two desserts.

Captain Cooks also has a egg platter, waffles, a kid's choice or two. I don't know why the menu is so abbreviated. It's about the same as Gasparilla's for breakfast.

I know johnsonet will answer your questions too but at the Polynesian, the arcade is next to CC but a different room. At Gasparilla's it's all one big, loud room. At both, you can take your food outside which would help with the noise factor at the GF.

Oh it's been years since I've been to the Poly, the arcade use to be a seperate building, I think by the "babysitting" place. So now it's in the main building. Oh, I can't wait! It's going to feel like going home, yet with so many changes!

Now we've got a 8am ADR at Tusker House for breakfast, don't the buses start at 7:30? Is that enough time to get to there?

That's the one thing I didn't like about the Gasparilla setup ... all the games right next to the tables. It was way too noisy. ::yes::

Actually when you think about it there are not many games at Gasparilla's when you compare them to other arcades in WDW. Now the only thing I ever found annoying is that boxing game they had where every few minutes a bell would go off, however they don't have it anymore so it's a lot better.

Hey check out this cute sweatshirt for sale in Boutiki :cutie:

What does the back look like???? I might have to order this to tide me over until next year...:rolleyes1

Does it run true to size?

Thanks!!

I know I asked before but I want to hear more opinions. I am getting ready to make our room request with Disney and I wanted to know which building at the Poly we should request? We have a garden view and want a balcony for sure if possible. We just want a really nice view that's not too terribly far from the main ceremonial house. We don't mind walking some so we don't have to be too close either. My husband will probably be carrying our DD(7) from the monorail/bus late at night once or twice I'm sure so I want to keep that in mind as well.
Also is there a special number I call for a room request? :confused3

Has this been answered yet? I'm in the same boat with a garden view but with even smaller kiddies.

The last time we stayed at the GF there was a racing game in Gasparilla's that sang out "Daay-TONE-ah" every few minutes that drove us completely crazy!! :rotfl2:

My favorite garden view is Fiji (marina side) or Samoa (volcano pool side). They are both close to the GCH and the boat dock and main pool. :)

And yes, in room dining is two table service credits per person.

I got my Mom an adorable Hula Minnie t-shirt at Boutiki for $28 today that said Walt Disney World. Super cute! :) I would post a pic but they wrapped it for me.
