Hi everybody :wave2:
Great day today!

Hey. The crowds are definitely not bad. MK today was EMH and opened at 8am. We didn't get there until 8:30am. When we walked by the Main St. Bakery there was NO line  That's a first.
Speedway did have a long line so we went to Pooh for FP; got "Surprise FastPass" for PhilharMagic in addition to Pooh FP.
At 9am we walked to Haunted Mansion and there was a line but we were in in less than 10 minutes.
I can tell a difference in the number of people in the parks for sure...

Hi we just got home; we were at the MK yesterday too for EMH before our flight.
It was nice to be able to do Astro Orbiter. and the race cars with no wait finally.
We went on HM probably around 9:30 and walked on.
It rained on us as we were on Big Thunder but everyone enjoyed getting a little wet.

Our draperies have been WIDE open the entire time and that's the way they will stay. Too gorgeous (even during afternoon rainstorms!) to close them...

We had the drapes open the whole day too. Was a bit dissapointed that our Hawaii room had a palm tree blocking our view of the castle but the view of the fireworks and the GF and the Contemporary were great!

Johnsonet - THANKS for getting the latest on the Apple Juice! I think DDs would flip if they didn't have it readily available! So nice to know that the mug would be worth it for them! (Is the mug spill proof, anyone know???)

BCV23 - Tonga toast for QS at CC? Yummo! Do they have Mickey waffles for the kids? My girls LOOOOVVVE Waffles so I'm hoping they have them there. Suppose allearsnet would give me that info, eh?

m&pForever - I think I'd be bummed if I paid all that extra money for a MK view and had a tree blocking my view of Cindy's castle! But if you got to see the waterpagent and fireworks from your room, then I suppose that woudl make up for it. I'll never know....as we are only springing for a GV room! haha So I'll have to walk to the beach to see!

How is monorail service from Poly? Anyone find it easy (or hard) to get upfront with the driver? And if you've been there.....can you fit 2adults,2kids and 2 strollers in there or is that too many people for the driver section??

Actually, there are only 2 club levels: Garden View and Lagoon View. No Magic Kingdom View for the Club Level, although it seems many "Lagoon Club Level" rooms do indeed have incredible views of the castle!

Getting to the Monorail at the Polynesian is very easy. All you need to do is go up to the 2nd floor of the Great Ceremonial House and the doors to them are on the other side. Besides that the limit of guests who can ride in the front car is 4 people so your family is ok for that part, however I am not sure what happens with 2 strollers. Although on another thread I read someone just folded it up and there was room. However I believe they only had one stroller, so I am not sure how much room two of them take up even when they are folded.

We never got up front while at the Poly - didn't try really. But at the MK one day, we walked up the ramp as a train was filling. It was pretty crowded and we were hoping not to collapse the strollers, so we decided to wait for the next train. DH remembered about going upfront and asked. They said sure, as long as it was empty or the family in there was debarking at the MK. It was empty, so we did it. We DID have to collapse our strollers for that (worth it!!) and I can't remember if they went up front with us, or if they put them somewhere else. I just don't remember. But I do know we had to collapse them. We were 2 adults, 2 kids and there was plenty of room. So fun!!

HI! I am wondering if anyone can tel me where the best spot to have my morning Tonga Toast is!? I am planning on an early breakfast trip over to the Poly in a few weeks (I'm staying @ pop) and have never been much further than the top floor of the Great Ceremonial House. I know Capt Cooks is on the 1st floor but thats about all I know! Thanks!

The water pagent was great. Loved seeing that but we were given a 2nd floor room ( i requested 1st or 3rd lol) and really missed the balcony. When our babies fell asleep we sort of felt 'stuck' We would have loved to sat out there instead of in the room.
The only good part of the 2nd floor is we were very close to the lounge which was good when getting milk for the baby and a coffee for us.

We got to ride upfront a few times. I don't think 2 strollers would fit or if they would be allowed.
You could put the stroller in the car behind the front and just get it at the stop you are getting off from.

I do want to warn anyone with toddlers who will play at the water spot where streams of water shoot up between the concierge building and the pool.

For some reason its very slippery for kids. Our 2 both fell and we didn't think too much until we saw many kids fall as they played in this area. One poor baby hit the back of her head and another cut his lip. Please be careful..I ssish theyhad some some sort of soft surface like they do in PooH's playground at the MK.

One night I stayed in the pool until Wishes started..that was great. Kids loved the beach too.

i didn't like the Kiosk ordering at Captain Cooks. Its easy enough to get a handle on it but i could order much quicker if was talking to someone and didn't have to go through each step with each item.
Side order of grapes were the best I ever tasted even if the date on the package had passed lol

which longhouses have/do not have walk out balconies???

All third floor rooms have balconies. Only the three newest buildings have balconies on the second floor. Those are Rapa Nui, Tokelau, and Tahiti. Niue and Tonga do not have third floors so no balconies at all in those buildings.

Kona Cafe on the second floor has Tonga Toast along with many other great selections. It's a full service restaurant. Captain Cook's also has Tonga Toast these days (minus the strawberry coulis). It's located on the first floor past the gift shops.

Picabo, Captain cook's does have waffles but I'm drawing a blank as to whether they're Mickey waffles?:confused3

Walked to Peter Pan which had a posted 15 min. standby time at about 8:45am. We were given the lanyard they scan to determine current wait time and i also used the stopwatch on my phone and it took us exactly 9 min. to reach the ride.
At 9am we walked to Haunted Mansion and there was a line but we were in in less than 10 minutes.

Thank you both :cutie:

We went by both the sundries shop and Captain Cook's to look for the milk. The sundries shop does NOT sell it (at least not today!) but Capt. Cook's DOES. They have "Silk soy milk" (plain and vanilla) in 11 oz. bottles. Price was not marked but I asked a CM and she told me the price was $2.12.

Thank you. You are in for a treat :cloud9:

Thanks. Those who've been here understand ;)

Exactly! Our draperies have been WIDE open the entire time and that's the way they will stay. Too gorgeous (even during afternoon rainstorms!) to close them...

I have some more pics to share...

Thank You!!! That was so kind of you to go by and look for the Silk for me. I really appreciate you doing that!! That's great news for DS1, I will not have to worry about where to buy. Thanks a MILLION!!!

CruisingCamper, our trip is 3 weeks from today and I got my docs yesterday. Enclosed were lugguge tags (1 for each of us), flight, room, and transportation vouchers. Also, there were vouchers for a discount on a mousecraft rental, mini-golf, $15.00 off a meal at HardRock Cafe and discount on a purchase from HardRock Cafe gift shop. I think that was it. I booked the trip less than a month ago.

Only 1 tag per person? I was told on another thread that it was 2!! That's not so good news, is it? Just one tag per person. We are flying Southwest and they still allow 2 bags, so I was hoping that DME still did too!!

Thanks for the reply:)

I know I asked before but I want to hear more opinions. I am getting ready to make our room request with Disney and I wanted to know which building at the Poly we should request? We have a garden view and want a balcony for sure if possible. We just want a really nice view that's not too terribly far from the main ceremonial house. We don't mind walking some so we don't have to be too close either. My husband will probably be carrying our DD(7) from the monorail/bus late at night once or twice I'm sure so I want to keep that in mind as well.
Also is there a special number I call for a room request? :confused3

Has anyone gotten room service? I figured out that we have more dinning plan credits than what I initially thought. So I came up with the idea of using room service for our departure day breakfast. So if you got it, was it good and what's on the menu? Thanks

Speaking of room service -- when you order room service using the dining plan, are you using a TS credit or a CS credit (or maybe the snack credits)?:surfweb:

I think that I read somewhere that you have to use 2 adult credits for room service. But what I was wondering.. does that mean if 3 Adults ordered room service, would that require 6 credits?

I know that's probably a wierd question... so I apologize first, but that seems like a really expensive meal for breakfast, b/c we'd just have a beverage and toast or something.

I have been there before just not to the 1st floor before. I have eaten at Kona as well. I am trying to figure out where I can eat my breakfast as I have never tried the counter service...make sense?

We just booked a one night stay at the Poly in December on Sat. We are staying at SSR but check in there Sunday. I am really excited about staying there as I always wanted to stay at a resort that has the monorail to MK. We are going to the MK Sunday morning, but my first question to the Poly experts is what would you do on Saturday afternoon to evening. We thought that after we check in we would goto MK for a little bit, but we also want to get alot out of stay. Also, my second queston is we booked a Lagoon view. I know it is of the Seven Seas but can you see MK from balcony or at least the fireworks. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

johnsonet...you're making me crazy with the pics!! I so want to be there!!! I'm happy you are having a great time and thanks again for taking the time to post pics and give us updates!!! Much appreciated.

Well, I'm trying to help you.:confused3 I listed the two places that serve Tonga Toast and where they are located. You can eat your breakfast at either place. Do you want more directions than I gave? If so, how will you be arriving at the Polynesian?

Room service also serves Tonga Toast but that won't help you this trip.

You will certainly be able to see Wishes from any lagoon view room.

Not sure if all lagoon view rooms have at least a glimpse of the MK but I would bet the majority can see parts of it.
