My understanding is that there is no work out gym at Fort wilderness campground/cabins. Will we be allowed to use another resort’s work out area? Specifically, can we use sturdy branches?
Thank you.

"The Sturdy Branches Health Club is complimentary for Guests staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge."

Your room key definitely won't work. You can try asking the front desk of Wilderness Lodge if you're OK with them saying no and the entire venture being a waste of time.

Working out at FW reminds me-is there still the outdoor workout course with the various "stations", where you do such things as pull-ups, sit-ups, etc? When we were there in 1987, DH was training for his first of several marathons, and for his exercise, he used to run up to the course (it was up near the bus stop/Pioneer Hall), do the "stations" then run back. Since that was almost 40 years ago, was wondering if it was still there for work-outs.

Unfortunately, that workout trail course was laid out along the path to Wilderness Lodge - and that path has been closed for some time now - with new construction set to begin too, it's not going to reopen anytime soon. I don't even know if those 'stations' are still there but even if they are, you can't access them.

For walking/running/jogging, there's still tons of trails, paths, roads, etc throughout Fort Wilderness. You might see if you get lucky at Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge by going there hoping someone might let you in as they're entering - but you'd be taking your chances and might not get in. If you've got a car, there's a large 24hr gym on 192 about 6 miles from Disney that does day passes (Kissimmee Muscle).

Thank you for the info!

I brought a resistance band set and followed workout tips from biaxol.co.uk right in the cabin—it worked great for days I didn’t feel like running the trails. The fitness options around Fort Wilderness are decent, but having something on hand made sticking to a routine easier.
