Hi, new to this thread. Confession - I don't like shopping. So, streamline my shopping for me please. I need some Disney t-shirts before hitting the parks. I'll be at Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista and I will have my car. Please point me to the best place to get some less-expensive Disney t-shirts.

Is that the HI on Hotel Plaza Blvd? There are several gift stores a short distance away on S. Apopka Vineland Rd. (Hwy. 535) as well as a Walgreen’s. South of WDW, on Hwy. 192, there are a number of souvenir stores too.

FYI every grocery or drug store I’ve seen in Orlando has Disney shirts.

Maybe hit one of the outlet stores? They have official stuff. I think they are a little ways from the immediate WDW area though.

I don't believe you are mistaken. I'm not an expert on all things Star Wars but this image is campaign art by Daniel Goozee.
Appears it was never used as an official movie poster but was used in a print ad.

Original Star Wars unused painting by Dan Goozee for a Star Wars promo poster

This painting is a varation of the final art used for an advertising campaign art from the original 1977 theatrical release of Star Wars was painted by movie poster veteran Daniel Goozee (Moonraker, Octopussy, Clash of the Titans, Superman IV).

The swashbuckling image, of Luke and Leia swinging on a rope, gun blazing, to make their escape from stormtroppers aboard the Death Star, appeared in at least one newspaper ad, but was not widely seen; in fact, apparently the artist himself was unaware that it had actually been used in the advertising at all, since it was just one of many pieces commissioned from various artists by Fox's publicity machine back in the 70s. The concept art is by Dan Gooze with design work by Tony Seiniger and Associates. Its army of stormtroopers on the bottom seems reminiscent of posters for biblical epics.

Goozee is a former Walt Disney "Imagineer" and fine artist who also painted a handful of sci-fi "originals" that were marketed as posters in the back of Famous Monsters and other Warren magazines during the height of the post-Star Wars sci-fi mania. This art was not published in The Art of Star Wars book, but its variant without C-3PO and R2-D2. Dan Goozee designed the below Star Wars poster in November 1977 for the studio. It was never used as an official movie poster but was used in a print ad.

A leggy Princess Leia in pumps? That is so wrong.

I mean, it's not really out of line with the original movie poster:

It's definitely got a different vibe though.
Yup, I was 16 when Star Wars came out and I remember thinking that while this poster was a great design, the bare-legged Leia and beefcake Luke was unnecessary.

But for some reason imagining Leia running through the Death Star in pumps just seems so much worse. Like she's Bryce Dallas Howard fleeing from the dinosaur in heels.

Disney Store Japan Plush and Keychains Coming to DisneyStore.com

Hello, fellow plush collectors! It’s once again time to mark your calendars for another Disney Store Japan plush drop on DisneyStore.com. On Monday, April 14 at 8 a.m. PST, the special edition Pastel Plush collection will be available for the first time to Disney Store guests in North America. To top that, this is also the first time that DisneyStore.com will carry the super popular plush keychains you’ve likely seen on social media!

Each plush is sold separately.

I’m particularly excited for the keychains because, as I’m sure many can relate, while my urge to continue expanding my plush collection knows no bounds, my shelf space leaves little room for new additions. Now I can get all the cuteness of the medium and small-sized plush bundled up into mini 5-inch keychain versions that are perfect nestled at home with my other stuffed animals or attached to my favorite accessory while I’m on the go.

The pastel plushies and keychains also look as sweet as can be when characters are paired together, like the mischievous chipmunk duo Chip and Dale. And don’t even get me started on the fact that this collection includes both Thumper and Miss Bunny—an adorable Disney couple I absolutely need more of in my life!

The collection also features Dumbo, Marie, Stitch, and Winnie the Pooh as both medium plush and keychains, so you can pick your favorite character and plush style from the bunch. Though, no judgment if you just can’t resist and find yourself getting them all!

If you can’t wait until April 14 to get your fill of fluffy plushies, check out the International Arrivals page on DisneyStore.com for even more plush collections from Disney Store Japan that you can purchase and have sent to your home right now. And don’t forget to keep checking back for updates on new international collections launching in the upcoming months!
