Just paid taxes on my new CIU and covered the MSR. I went through ACI/paypal and paid 1.85%. Pay1040 was 2.89%. Posting this so I remember for 2nd quarter!
So what I ended up doing is I had his wife make a household BA Account to transfer the points in but they are pending now for 3 days we are trying to prevent this for the future, I probably asked him 5x in 10 years to setup accounts I know his wife account is new not sure about his for BA, I just hope the business class avaliblity for the flight I booked for First does not go away.
it didnt workAU can transfer to their own loyalty account. So your friend should be able to transfer his wife's UR to his BA account. But I don't know what that looks like in practice. If he goes to transfer to BA from his wife's UR account that he's an AU on, does his name appear as an option?
it didnt work
what we did was transfer it to his wife BA account which was new but since its new they made the points pending, I just checked during lunch 2 business class on that flight were booked so I think someone else got them he still has it otw back but I haven't heard from him I just feel that all of this could have been prevented with more planning. I also think there is a good chance its going to come back I don't know the procedure for changing flights on BA id imagine its a 100$ish change fee but at least the points wont go to oblivion. I don't even know if he booked yet he's gone silent
When we tried just changing the name on chase UR it wouldn't let us then when he put in his number, It said no name match) so a household account was made and I'm 99% sure her account was brand new.
Your pending points will post on the card when the PC takes affect. Any pending transactions will earn based on the card product at the time of posting. (accidentally used the card right before I PC'd to a CFU, after posting, those transactions earned the 1.5x) At least they would and I haven't seen anything contrary.I want to go for the CSP elevated bonus. I was going to wait but will be gone in May so want to do it before end of April. No problem on the 4 year timing as it has been much longer than that.
I want to PC my CSR to a CF. I want the original one. Is that still available to PC to?
Also I have pending points on my CSR. Do I have to wait for that to post before I can PC? or will they still post on the PCed card?
I think I have the timing as wait 4 days from PC to apply for new CSP. Is that right?
Thanks
I think what caused the uncertainty previously is how long it would take for points to register as 'earned'. Back in time, your points could take a few days after the last transaction posted to show up as pending. So it was unknown when Chase considered the bonus earned. (And who tracks it that closely? Probably not many. With potential backdating, you'd have to stalk the portal daily to record the date.) Some folks had been approved right after the last transaction date, others would get denied. To play it absolutely safe, you stick to the statement date because that's the last date we'd know for sure they were in your account. If you knew when the last transaction was that triggered it, or better yet when it went pending, it was worth a shot applying earlier.I think there's some uncertainty that it's the transaction date, but it's been added to the Sapphire guide (point 4). Link There should be no hard pull for denials due to 48 months since Chase is going by their internal records. So I think there's no downside to trying it after 5/2. Unless we hear that the offer's been extended, then you can wait until 5/25 to be safer.
same with international? It's $55, or you can forfeit the taxes/fees, which would make sense for domestic.
same with international?
and is it easy to change online? and thanks in advance
i'm new to paying taxes via c. was direct with amex fee cheaper than thru paypal? I'm going to use my new amex plat biz and hit the sen in one fell swoop unfortunately. if i can do state too, I'll use another card bix or personal (NJ)Finally paid my tax bill. Hard to let go of that much money, but the points really help soften the blow. 143,000+ points I used 2 CapOne Ventures to meet the sub's for my federal, was nice to not have to mess around w/ PayPal. Then I used my Amex Blue Biz Plus for my state tax which I was working towards a sub on. My state charges 3% regardless of the type of card.
The Amex Biz cards you need to use PayPal to pay Federal to save on the fees. My state didnt give me a PayPal optioni'm new to paying taxes via c. was direct with amex fee cheaper than thru paypal? so the saga is over he didnt get any business class seats. I reminded him to make other accounts for the future now me being who I am I set alerts for him for upgrades at least he has the points to change it.Same for international.
I've only canceled and I couldn't do it online. Have used Twitter DM and chat before, but it can be very, very slow (sometimes days lol). It's DH's account and I'm in no hurry, so I just wait.
Instant approval on the CSP! I'm actually 5/24 until end of the month, so was counting on the system using the first of the month for the card to drop. Wasn't going to do it this soon, but realized that I need to wait for the support to post to PC DH's CSP.
The CSP was downgraded from a CSR a few months ago (before news of the elevated SUB). Been looking at DPs and it should be okay to PC again.

I've noticed the points go pending much faster now, pretty simultaneously with the transaction that triggered them most times. So I think we can get a little tighter with the timeline now that Chase has stepped up their game. Recent DP that's consistent with previous positive DPs of after transaction, but well before statement closing.

thank you!The Amex Biz cards you need to use PayPal to pay Federal to save on the fees. My state didnt give me a PayPal option
so do you have a list? anyone else in this thread? we love them,
I keep seeing videos passively on the borough market so that's a must-do. I haven't made a Christmas market list yet.
a video i saw said bourgh market said it was open all year round id assume 365. I will watch Covent Garden videos now on YouTube, thanks.I think we will likely hit the Borough market since DH is all about the food and I think it might be open while we are there.
If I were in your situation I’d PC the CSP and apply for another after reducing some CLs.I can close my CSP and reapply (got last bonus of 80K in Nov 2020) but I'm up in the air because I really like my CSP! The plan would be to product change it to a Chase Freedom, wait 4 days and apply.
But, I have 6 personal cards with Chase plus 4 Biz and the only one I want to (or can) close is my Hyatt card, but not until after the summer as I want to collect my free night and eventually reapply.
I do have an existing Chase Freedom with 11K credit available just in case I had a desire to do CSR, but haven't needed that yet, so I guess if I wasn't approved for 'too many cards or too much credit' I could always product change that card back to a CSP. Also, I could pull credit line from the CF card to try to get approved.
Am I being too conservative here? Pretty sure I should reduce some credit lines (not on UR cards) before I do anything. I'm still under my income but it's rather high. Not in a rush to do anything other than getting it done before the offer is pulled. And if I miss out there's always a next time.
I'd definitely PC your CSP, lower some of your CLs and re-apply (for the CSP). It's killing me to miss out on this offer. I can ALWAYS use more URs!I can close my CSP and reapply (got last bonus of 80K in Nov 2020) but I'm up in the air because I really like my CSP! I'm a bit frustrated with Chase. New CIP approved on Monday, Tuesday morning I SM'd to have expedited, Wednesday got SM saying I'd have it in a day or two, still no card. Is this normal?
