Why do people say the Treasure is "dark"?

So...FB fed me a reel about the Treasure and now I want to go. This is after being fans of the oldest ships for years, trying the Fantasy due to liking the two-island itinerary and finding cruising with 4000 other people wasn't as bad as I had imagined, and now wanting to try the Treasure. I like the photos of the decor, but I keep seeing comments that the overall color palette is "dark" and the Wish isn't. I'm just curious what others think and if it's a big deal or not? Other reasons to go:
1) Then, the whole family will have tried and be old enough to remember all three ship classes.
2) Daughter is super excited for Marvel restaurant.
3) Wanting to see the Moana show.

I haven't been on either the Wish or the Treasure, but I would certainly not avoid the Treasure just because the color palette is a bit darker than on the Wish. When the Wish started sailing, some complaints were that it was too white and bright. So Disney can't win.

Your reasons for wanting to go on the Treasure all make sense to me. I want to go on the Treasure! However, I don't particularly want to go to the Eastern or Western Caribbean, so it may be a while.

I totally hear you. We prefer sailings to both islands, hence the Fantasy last month and booking the Magic repo next fall, even though my kids will miss more days of school than usual! To experience the Treasure, I am willing do to WC or EC (in that case it's whichever lines up with the long weekend our district calls "Fall Break" in October of 2026. Assuming that's even what the Treasure is still doing in Oct 2026. We don't get off at every port, anyway. So we'll see what comes out for fall 2026 itineraries.

We love the older ships and just cruised the Treasure for the first time. The ship is beautiful! The artistry is fantastic. I did not think it was dark at all. Take the Imagineering Tour (sign up on app when you get on DCL wifi in port) as soon as you can so you can better appreciate it during your trip.

I was not a fan of the tightness of the Coco main dining room, nor the small size of the various venues. The classic ship wins on those!

Thank you. So its just the Coco one that is a tight fit? Or all? Some say they don't like how the service works...that your serving team can't work since there is a show happening. I'm wiling to be flexible on that, just mentally preparing for the difference.

Does that tour replace Art of the Theme? Or is in addition to?

The Treasure uses a lot of jewel tones, especially in the atrium area. The Wish uses a lot of 'Cinderella' colors (whites, light blues, silvers, etc.). Jewel tones are darker, so yes, it gives the atrium a bit of a darker vibe. It's an absolutely gorgeous atrium, I wouldn't not sail on the Treasure because the atrium is a bit darker.

Coco has one main stage for the show so it is one big room, and they have the tables in straight lines off of it, then around the rest of the dining room. The servers had a hard time going around the tables. They removed the serving stations to improve view of the stage, so the servers also had to go a ways away to get food. The other dining rooms had many sections, so they seemed like a more intimate environment and the flow was much better.

The tour is a different name for Art of the Theme, but similar tour. I thought it focused more on the art and I learned so much about the theming! I would have done it a second time, but it is very popular and everyone deserved a chance to go.
