Why are DVC glass shower doors spotless (literally)?

The last couple of times we've stayed at DVC resorts, I've noticed that spots never form on the glass showers. They don't even supply us with a squeege, but if they did, we wouldn't need to use it. Last time I pointed the shower head at the glass, and the water just poured down the glass. Again, no spots. I asked housekeeping, but unfortunately, she had no idea what the secret was. I want that on our glass shower at home! Any idea what might have been used at installation?

you can apply car wax to shower doors to get water to run off them. eventually it will wear down and you'll need to clean and reapply, so its worth keeping the daily squeegee habit.

They probably use ShowerGuardGlass or StayClean protective glass.

This is such a great point. I actually really admire how immaculate they're able to maintain the rooms and bathrooms, especially after a turnover of only a few hours.

That never occurred to me, that it might be a special kind of glass. I think that after Christmas, I'm going to call a glass installation place.

When we had our new glass shower doors installed in 2021 the company asked if we wanted a coating put on the glass that would prevent spots and hard water stains. It was an additional $200 so we did it and our glass looks as new as when they were put in. I'll use a squeegee occasionally but that's it. They never have spots.
