Ways to maximize savings when purchasing direct DVC contract.. (credit card rewards etc)

Do you happen to know if this includes DVC loan payments or just payments initiated as deposit / 30 / 60 / 90? Not sure if they code differently as different department, etc.

Also wanted to update here that we had an offer for no fees on your first Chase Plan / Pay Over Time up to $4K through the end of March, on my spouse’s Disney Visa. Charged exactly $4K and it showed as not eligible for Pay Over Time. Reached out to customer service and they said they have no control to assist, it’s either eligible or it’s not. So it would seem the 6mo 0% on DVC at least, supersedes eligibility for the Pay Over Time option. 🤷‍♀️
Loan payments code as travel with Chase. I paid off my loans early last year after opening a few Business Inks. (also a business Plat), and they coded as travel and got the extra points for Chase.

What did they call about? Wanting early payments? We have the third/final installment due later this month on a small 60pt but no calls about it.
Sating oh congrats, looks allow need to close and finalize is payment. I was like yes I was doing a 60 day so I willet it all paid by the 60 days. She said okay. Just strange they called 2 x for payment on 12k when I owed 60k. Crickets

I just emailed my guide and asked if the whole thing could be paid with Disney Gift cards, im not sure if this has been answered, but if not I will post when he writes back and I also asked how much time Disney would give to pay without having to secure a loan.

We also asked this and the answer was no. I think it’s not allowable since it’s a real estate transaction. Let us know if you hear differently though please!! That would be awesome.

No you cannot use Disney gift cards to buy direct unfortunately

$350 or 350 gift cards?

The minimum card they sell is a $25 one so based on that you are paying $8,312.50 for $8,750.

Now if I pick up the socks and school supplies can I come on your trip? :)
The max target sells which is $500 increments, I would buy 60 of those. The max one card can have at a time is $1000 per Disney policy so I would transfer 30 of them to the other 30 so then I have 30 total. I hope that made sense not that it matters bcuz that dream got killed 🤣🤣 and yes you can come with me although I will probably raise a lot of suspicion buying so many 🤣🤣 and then imagine if I did that over the course of a month if disney allowed it and then changed their policy 🤣🤣

Definetely going to do this!

Be aware they made some changes this year regarding gift cards and dues.

Before the changes it was possible to put dues on a 12 month installment plan if routed to bank account. Each month before it was due you could override payment method to the gift card. Now you have to choose one or the other. Basically once you pay with a gift card, you cannot turn the autopay feature back on. At that point the dues will need to paid in full.

Oh so if you choose gift card you have to pay with gift cards for the year? Is there an autopay discount?

Only if I’m desperate am I buying that many at Target since they are only 5% off. I think @VGCgroupie might be the queen of this but I try to get 10% or more off.

The autopay discount is that they don’t charge a fee or interest to split up your payments.

No you can pay a lump sum with gift cards and then enroll in auto pay. You used to be able to be in autopay but then in and make that monthly payment via gift card rather than it coming out of your bank account.
