Virtual Queues for Tiana and Guardians - Final Day Feb 24, 2025

Guardians has been added to AM early entry lineup.
Sorry but no it has not been officially added.

Only BlogMickey.com is indicating the Operating Hours for Epcot show GotG as being open next week for EE. We still need to wait for Disney or Tuesday, Feb. 25th arrives and we get live reports.

ETA: still learning how to type...

Personally, I will happily take my 'first wait' while doing other things in the park over what I anticipate to be a crazy wait for Guardians. Time will tell and hopefully I'm wrong!
I suspect that the strategy of jumping into line at 8:59 pm will work out well for anyone staying until park close who doesn’t care about luminous.

I think out of the two attractions, TBA will have a longer standby line than GOTG. TBA takes a little longer to load and unload, where as GOTG is a coaster and seems to be efficient with loading process. I don't think GOTG will have that high of standby wait (probably just the first day or so), because what I have seen is most people go to EPCOT for festivals, during non festival times, there is not as many people in that park

I think GOTG will have very long standby lines for much more than the first day or 2. Since every day brings in crowds of new people who want to ride it, I expect the standby option will draw folks in for many months to come.

Trying to clarify to see if I understand correctly - if it's even been made official yet. But does it sound like GOTG will be standby and also LLSP? Tiana will be standby and also part of the LLMP selections? Essentially no LL category changes for these 2 attractions?

Yes. No changes in LLMP and/or LLSP assignments after Disney threw some miss-information at us yesterday morning.

Dave.

But with it no longer on virtual queue. I wonder if they still will sell out of lightning lanes. I think people got the lightning lane because they were frustrated they did not get the virtual queue. From what I read, when people got the virtual queue for Tiana's they would cancel their lightning lane multi pass and that was a hack to look around 7:05am on the app to get one

I fully expect LL will continue to be very popular (and sell out) for both attractions. While VQ was a popular free option for some to ride, you had to get them early, and you had to plan around whatever 'estimated' time your boarding group was expected to be called - which could change a great deal throughout the day. People buying the LL option do it to book up to 7 days out, have a specific window to ride, and not have to worry about a 7AM or 1PM VQ group. Much easier planning, with a financial cost.

I guess we'll see over the upcoming weeks and months. Actually, if standby lines are extra long for a while, it might even lead to LL selling out more quickly.

Figures! - our 2 days in the parks are the 25th and 26th (MK & EP) - Imagine they still won't open either for ETPE... Resigned to rope drop for Guardians being 1/2 hour wasted in line, but necessary, nonetheless. - I'd be interested to see if they might open it at 8:30 anyway, to avoid a 2 hour wait already there at normal opening time...

I’ve been looking for reasons to put off spending much time planning our October trip. The potential for changes like this between now and then is as good as any.

(We do have our hotel booked at least)

I’m very curious to see how this goes for Guardians. We were there in March and one time we got in line it was backed up outside. Not a big line outside but it extended to the side. We only waited about an hour to get on. I don’t even know if it’s possible to have this line become a 2 or more hour wait. I guess they can just line it up back towards TT/MS (having to keep a gap for people coming through from connections you’d think), but I feel like it could be a mess of people. I know they’ll make it work, more just curious how.

I'm going to agree to disagree on this one. I fully anticipate Guardians to have a longer wait than Tiana, on a regular basis. Yes, it's a faster load but I believe more popular than Tiana's and guests will be willing to wait longer for it.

Time will tell. This are only what I'm anticipating.

Unfortunately these VQs were getting some abuse by third-party tools and bots such as Standby Skipper - and I doubt SS was the only one. It will be nice to not have to get up early multiple mornings to get the VQ.

So glad the VQs are going away! We rode GotG every day of our 8-day trip last fall, either by VQ, LLSP, or both (not to mention EEH)! I’ll still be trying for a LLSP but so glad to know that even if we don’t get it, we can do standby as many times as we want!
