Virtual Queues for Tiana and Guardians - Final Day Feb 24, 2025

Yay, no more virtual queue!
I prefer the virtual queue here. Much rather wait for about 50 minutes and ride it once with VQ then having the opportunity to ride it more than once in a day but with 2 hour+ waits (on site rope drop will be a shorter wait, but I am rarely on site).

Any guesses on wait times? It would have to be comparable to Flight of Passage from a few years back when it was slightly newer. More people attend Epcot than AK and without Test Track open it will be slammed all day (unless a higher percentage of guests are there just to drink around the world than I think).

Maybe should have waited til TT reopened.

What a crock! Changing these things with a week of notice.
I agree with a previous poster - why now? Wait until Test Track is open to offset the lines.

Of course, I am going the second week of March so now I have to step back and think about next steps. I have a 90% success rate with VQ so was hoping to do the same for my party of 9 - now it will be an unplanned addition to the trip. Some in the party can afford some can't.

I'm so sorry this is happening right before your trip! I'm with you; it's definitely toughest on those of us who had made great use of the VQ!

Well you will have a Standby Queue for both attractions that was not an option before Feb. 25th. When using the VQ you actually had to wait twice. Once until the start time of your VQ and then again once you got into the physical Queue for a further wait that often exceeded 45-60 minutes.

True but I guess we got lucky a lot as the longest wait we had with a VQ was 40 minutes. We also used our time doing others things while waiting on the number to be called. That being said - watching what happened the first couple of weeks after Tron came off VQ, I don't think wait times will fall below 60 - 90 minutes for awhile.

Personally, I will happily take my 'first wait' while doing other things in the park over what I anticipate to be a crazy wait for Guardians. Time will tell and hopefully I'm wrong!

Agreed! I worry that the lines will be insane. It's easily our family's favorite ride, so I was always happy to wait for our boarding group to be called while doing other things. And while sometimes the VQ waits were crazy, sometimes they were pretty short.

AAAWWWW man, I love to VQ an LLSP to ride it twice each visit with pretty short waits. Bummer. We have been spoiled by this< I know. Oh well guess we will be riding it once when we go in May. I love it but I am not waiting 90 minutes.

This makes the Epcot dual rope drop a lot more interesting. If you're staying on Crescent Lake, do you just have to build your plan RDing Frozen or Remy and not even try for GotG because the front of the park will be there so much earlier than you?

Obviously, that calculation is happening right now with which rides to RD based on where you enter, but all of the potential RD priorities are also on LLMP, making them all comparatively the same value of RDing versus prebooking. Having GotG on LLSP makes it a clear frontrunner for the thing that you want to RD to save some cash...

I agree the VQ was / is a good idea but since they don't enforce the 1 hour return window if means 2 waits that have been quite long when we used it for GotG. Also you can't have a VQ and a Standy Queue since they both use the same physical queue.

My response to @reeddi was in relation to a new surprise cost of only having a LLSP for their group vs a new Standby queue replacing the VQ. GotG was never meant to be using a VQ for more than 1000 days. They added the extended physical queue back in 2023.

I actually like VQ system, because you get to ride it at least once. If you do not get the 7AM drop, you should get the 1pm drop just fine (it usually takes several minutes to sold out as opposed to the 7am Drop).

does anyone remember how bad it was Tron for the first few months after became stand by?

I look forward to hearing reports on wait times for Guardian’s at the end of the night and at Deluxe resort EMH.

We’re renting points in May and was looking forward to getting that extra VQ during Dekuxe EMH. We will try getting in line during the event or right before 11 pm.
