I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Dd started her first full time job Monday—yippee. Was approved for a Freedom Flex yesterday. She moves out in a few weeks (about 10 minutes away). I’m helping her furnish her apartment which is fun. On my end, I haven’t had a new card in a long time and I’m either at 0/24 or 1/24. I did just cancel a ciu and have only two ink cards so I’ll probably apply for a new one in March. Trying to accumulate URs for a cruise for my 50th birthday.
For your best shot at approval I'd recommend putting a bit of spend one 1 of the cards. Chase seems to like current Inks being used.

Thanks for the info! The CIC gets used (at Staples so not sure if that's the spend they want). The CIP is sort of neglected and waiting to be cancelled once the annual fee hits. Since I'm ordering dd furniture, I can certainly throw some spend on these cards.

Wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS :cheer2: on your dd's uni graduation, first full-time job and moving out on her own! You must be a proud momma!

I'm brand new to Pepper (just downloaded it yesterday and haven't actually used it yet), but today I have a new offer on my Amex: make a single purchase of $75 or more through the Pepper app and get a $30 statement credit.
Just saw this on my AmEx this morning as well. Need to do a little research on Pepper to see how I can maximize this one...

I have this too, I have seen the word Pepper being tossed around, but have no idea what it is or how to use it yet
You buy gift cards through the app and you earn points. They often have point multipliers, one of the more popular ones is Sams Club at 10x points. Once you have accumulated enough points you cash them out for GC's.

Came to say that I had a major cc fail this morning (only in my mind though).
Husband was having steriod injections at the surgery center and the anethesiologist asked how we were paying (looking directly at ME). She actually wanted payment right then and there... while my husband was fully unclothed, and with his hospital gown on and all -- so it was on me to provide the $500 payment. I wasn't expecting this AT ALL and handed her my credit card thinking if I'd only had a SUB card to give her that would've made the sting a bit less. But alas, I only had my Freedom and Sapphire. Sigh.

Gotta get a new card with a SUB so throw at me what you guys are after right now, please.

I'm back from Cabo......Y'all were right, the resort is BEAUTIFUL! And the whales were active just off the coast. I mean RIGHT OFF! We flew in Monday. On the flight my throat felt dry. But nothing too odd as I know flights can be dehydrating. By Monday night, I had lost my voice. As we went to bed, I thought maybe I had strep as my throat was super sore. Tuesday morning I woke up certain it wasn't strep. My throat no longer hurt it had settled into my whole body. We had already booked a whale tour the night before. And luckily I felt "okay enough" to try and go. The catamaran was HUGE and empty! My BF and I made sure to stay away from everyone on the boat. The tour we picked was AMAZING! They had found 3 whales and we got so close they were swimming under our boat and all around us. A bucket list item for sure!

After the tour, it hit me full on like a ton of bricks. The body aches, the chills, etc. We headed back to the hotel where I took advantage of our plunge pool. They did upgrade us to ocean view, so that was nice. After that, I took advantage of the bathtub as that is the only place my aches stopped aching. God bless my BF who tried to gather things for me at Walmart and local pharmacies. He did the best he could. Tuesday night I got a fever. I NEVER get a fever. And to start with I run cold....like 96 is my normal body temp. So when my temp was 100.5, I knew it was bad. Then the panic became how am I going to survive a 4 hour flight home. We thought about pivoting and getting a flight just over the border and breaking the flight up into 2 smaller flights. But Delta doesn't fly a lot of places that 'break up" the flight. The flights to ATL were WIDE open, like 100 open seats. So that was our "backup" plan. I saw that our flight was 11 open seats and it looked like we could end up in a row of our own. So I figured we'd try and get home. Plus I could tell my BF was about a day behind me in getting sick. Luckily my fever finally broke just before our flight.

We managed to have the last row to ourselves. I masked up, took lots of meds (including 2 Xanax). I made it through the flight until the decent which my ears clogged even w/ earplanes. So that was VERY painful. I'm still not sure if my ear has popped. And my BF texted last night his fever was 102. It was a crappy position to be in. We debated if we needed to relocate to another hotel, or just try to get home. Everyone I know who has had the flu going around has been down and out for well over a week. And we didn't want to spend a week in hotels in Mexico trying to battle this. It really was lose/lose.

I had NO signs before this hit. And it hit hard and fast! We didn't even explore the resort at all! I feel we got cheated out of this trip. I'm happy we got to see the whales so up close on the boat. It just sucks that I spent it sick :(. We've said we'll try and watch for rooms next Feb (his vacation time) to come back for a do-over!

Bummer you were sick!
What resort were you at? My son is there rn and we were face timing yesterday and the whales were jumping in the back ground. So cool!

same - I'm working on trying to figure it out so I can take advantage of this. If anyone had a link to a good tutorial, I'd greatly appreciate it!
I signed up a while back when I had the Amex offer. I planned to just use it for the offer and be done with it, but I've actually used it several times since when I've had good boosted offers. Here's the info from the app -
Points: Earn 20 points (1x) for each $1 you spend on all purchases.
Boosted points: Boosted merchants offer extra points (i.e. 5x is 100 points per $1 spent)
Redeeming: 10,000 points = $5. You can redeem points in $5 amounts at any time at checkout.
Points expire if 60 days pass without a purchase. You can earn $20 when you sign up if you spend $200 within 15 days. There are links on dischurners. There are rumors of this app not being sustainable in the long term, so personally I don't let my points build up.

A quick google makes it seem like the best way to do this, if you've never used before, is to open with a support code because you'll then get $20 back on your first $200 that can stack with the AmEx offer. And, Amazon is at 4x right now with that code being able to be immediately redeemed to your Amazon gift card balance. It works out to $58 off of a $200 for Amazon, assuming everything credits properly.

Should we open a DisChurners thread for these codes? ETA I see that they're in there under miscellaneous.

I have the offer on multiple cards, could I do 2 $100 instead of 1 $200?
