Any thoughts on when they might reopen? Going in September/October for the 50th Anniversary to celebrate not only that but my husband's 50th birthday and our 15 year Anniversary. We went there for our 10 year anniversary and my 40th birthday. Would love to celebrate all of the milestones this year there.

We're anxiously awaiting V & A reopening for our August trip too! Hoping for some pixie dust......

Hopefully Flying Fish will open by November then. I need some high-end Disney dining experiences after missing out on cruises last year and this year.

We have been to V&A several times, but it wasn't in the plan for this fall. Hoping its back next year for us to enjoy. Nothing else comes close.

Hopefully Flying Fish will open by November then.
Hoping it is open in October as we really missed it in April.

I've religiously been clicking refresh on the dining page for the past few weeks hoping to see "Opening Soon" or "Returns on X" ....maybe I'm wishing on the wrong star 🤔

:rotfl2:I've been doing that too! Since I'm only 3 days away from arrival now I figured it's a good time to stop though

I've heard rumors that it will remain closed through 2021

Well, that would not be good. I thought for sure it would open back up for my 3 week trip there in November. Only get to Disney World about once every 7 years and was really hoping to try V&A finally as this is our fist time doing a longer trip. When they do reopen I wonder if they will do the Bob Chapek price adjustment...

Constantly (almost obsessively) checking for updates on this! Going to Disney for my honeymoon in February and I swear I have talked more about going to Victoria & Albert's since being engaged than my actual wedding lol

I assume the problem is finding a chef - I'm sure that the chefs that worked there pre-shutdown didn't just wait around for V&A to reopen. They moved on, and I can't imagine how hard it is to find a chef of the same caliber needed for a restaurant like this.

I should preface by saying that I have no experience in the restaurant industry... but I do have experience in business.

I'm sure they could find a chef of high caliber if they wanted to. I'm more inclined to believe it has to do with the volume of patrons the restaurant can handle during a seating (because, profits profits profits). From Disney's perspective, why should they make a push to re-open a restaurant that has very low table turnover rates, with minimal capacity as it is?

Think of Space 220... large, open dining room with multiple seatings for (breakfast?) lunch and dinner. More butts in seats = larger profit.

Sadly, I don't see V&A opening anytime soon. It will probably be around the same time that the private tours/events (e.g., Highway in the Sky Dine Around Tour, Behind the Seeds) begin to re-open, which will most certainly be after a majorirty of other table service restaurants have already re-opened.

I kick myself all the time for not going with my wife when they were open! I even had an ADR and cancelled it...

Typical per-person cost is over 5x that of most restaurants and with wine pairings it is 8-10x, so the ROI for Disney is there, especially with Disney executives latest push to cater to the wealthier guests. $1K+ bills are very common at V&A. The primary problem I'm guessing is likely supply chain issues for high-end ingredients, which are always difficult to source and exponentially more difficult given the supply chain disruptions caused by the pandemic. However, I would guess that qualified subordinate BOH and FOH staffing is also a big issue given the quality demands of the restaurant. This is not a restaurant I see opening until everyone is confident it will deliver the quality as it did before. Disney knows that this is one restaurant that guests will not be too accepting of a limited offering because of the pandemic.

I was hoping on going there in November, but I would have to agree that it's probably not opening by then. I too am kicking myself for not going there last time the wife and I went to Florida.
