I’m having a first world problem in that we’ve decided to splurge on a tour and I can’t decide which one to do. I really prefer a private tour, but the four hours plus EP appeals to me time-wise.

We’ll only have one day at Epic and I’m not sure I want to spend the majority of it on a tour. We’re not typically rush from ride to ride people and like taking in the atmosphere of the parks. But I know Epic will be crazy and we want to do as much as possible in our one day. I also don’t like other people that much🙈 The thought of touring with strangers feels weird.

back in October I bought two Annual Pass tickets for Epic for a random date this coming September. I'm guessing there's no way to change the date? The day I chose doesn't really work for me anymore. :sad2:

Call them.. They should be able to change it..

You may have to pay any difference with new date
Maybe I should. lol

my daughter is having her first baby in September and I would feel bad if I was in FL. That's what can happen when you buy tickets that far in advance. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I missed my son's baby's birth because I was in FL, but that little guy was a month early. ;)

I have done the small group tour. Honestly, it’s just like having other people at the park. But I am also not bothered by other people much. Had a fantastic time. Then you have ridden all the rides in four hours and have the rest of the day to soak up the atmosphere.

Yes, you can change the date and pay extra or get a refund for the difference. I just did that by phone for both Epic packages and AP tickets.

I am strongly considering the non-private tour. I would like to wait until they have started but some dates have sold out so I don't really want to risk it either. This seems like a new tour option (4 hours, no meals from what I can tell) and obviously we don't know what rides will be included. I think we can presume they would include the ones not on EP as long as the group wants that, but you never know. I'd be bummed if it was all just EP rides as an EP is less than half the cost for my date.

Since I'm also just doing one day, the non-private tour only taking four hours of the day appeals to me. I think if I can walk onto Ministry and do Stardust and a couple other things, I will be happy. My last trip I waited 2 hours for Hagrid's and almost an hour for Velocicoaster x2, and all I can remember about that trip is how awful it was standing in those lines and we barely did anything else :hyper:. So I don't think I would regret the price in the end if it means I get on like 10 rides in the day without waiting too long!

Hopefully this question isn't too stupid: we just booked a package with 1 day at Epic and 2 regular park days. At no point did the Universal Employee on the phone ask which of our days would be at Epic Universe. Our trip is late night arrival on Tuesday with an early morning departure on Saturday. Do I need to call back and tell them which day? Is there a day that would be better?

No, as far as I'm aware you do not need to state which day will be your day at epic.

All else being equal, I would suspect Fri to be more busy than Wed or Thurs. Bad weather could impact that though. Check out single day EP prices, that'll give you an idea which days Universal thinks are busiest.

If you book the Epic Express Pass, then that locks you into a particular day, though.

Can the EP be changed once it's booked?

No, you don't have to specify the date for each park. The package allows 6 days from the start date to use up your tickets. If your start day is Tuesday, then you have until the end of Sunday to use the tickets.

Well, we just went for it and booked the private tour. I was leaning towards the four hour, but my youngest doesn’t do big rides and I felt like a non-private tour would focus mainly on those rides and he wouldn’t get to do much of what he wanted. This way we can plan the day around what we all want to do. It’s a splurge for sure, but it’s the only time we’ll do it. I’m excited🥰
