Who: we are a family of 4 (spouse 44, me 33, 3 year old, 7 year old) both nurses that work hard but don’t get a lot of time off together.
We pick a different resort every time we go - usually we go twice a year. That being said we decided on a big trip so held out for 2 years to build this trip up.
This trip’s goals for me are to 1. See the fireworks (I have a family usually that goes to bed early so have never seen them) 2. Be able to ride all the rides I normally have to skip to keep everyone else happy 3. Be able to enjoy the trip rather than planning the schedule and managing the lightning lanes.
We are staying at the Polynesian and can’t wait for another visit during the Festival of the Arts. Most of our meals are lunches to give the young kiddos air conditioning and parents a break.
Day 1: dinner at Steakhouse 71 to celebrate 2 birthdays, Disney springs after
Day 2: Epcot with premier pass, Le Cellier lunch
Day 3: Magic Kingdom with premier pass, Cinderella’s Royal Table lunch, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Day 4: Hollywood Studio with premier pass, Mama Melrose lunch
Day 5: Epcot with premier pass, Space 220
Day 6: Animal Kingdom with premier pass, Tusker house breakfast, evening hours to see Pandora lit up
Day 7: Magic Kingdom with premier pass, Crystal Palace
Day 8: we split - half to Hollywood studios half to Epcot both with premier pass, akershus and oga’s cantina, then a Kona Cafe dinner (didn’t like ohana last time) and a private fireworks cruise after
Day 9: Chef Mickey and downtime at the resort, Trader Sam’s
Not sure if there is anything else we should be doing to make this a super luxurious trip, we plan to say yes to all the snacks and souvenirs, have private transportation booked, etc. We had no interest in repeating experiences like building droids/lightsabers.We leave in 6 days and am beyond excited!
