below is a poem that I partially found online back in 2007 and added to through the years. I wish I knew where I got the original from so I could give credit to some parts but I don't. Anyway, I have added and taken things away to fit our family so feel free to do the same. I plan in reading it to my son tomorrow night and print out a copy of it and leave it on my parents pillow for when they climb in bed tomorrow night. It will be my sons first trip and my parents first trip in over 30 years. Enjoy!
'Twas the night before Disney and all through the house,
everyones excited to go see the mouse!
The suitcases well close before going bed,
to see visions of characters dancing in our heads.
Off to Mickey and Minnies party well go,
to see magical parades and amazing shows.
We'll stand on Main Street and watch the parade,
while we drink our frozen lemonade.
Its a Small World will be so fun,
Food & Wine Festival here we come!
Down the "Mountain" we'll make a splash,
and in the shops we'll spend our cash.
From down in our boat the Pirates well see,
and when we ride Dumbo we'll all scream "Wheeee!"
In the "Mountain" we'll zoom through space,
and on Buzz's ride we'll be the shootin' ace.
Off to the castle to see the fireworks show,
it'll be so beautiful Oh I cant wait to go!
Its not just a place Ill repeat with a sigh
its where fish can talk and elephants fly!
Magic Carpets and Pirates Galore,
Singing Bears and so much more.
Talking Bugs and a huge Dinosaur,
sights and smells in the air well Soar!
You see Goofy's our hero and Mickey's our friend,
also Minnie and Daisy, the list never ends.
Chip n Dale, the princesses too,
Tigger, Piglet, and Winnie the Pooh!
It may sound funny, ludicrous, and wild,
but its the only place you can act like a child.
All hopes and dreams will come true you see,
as we spend this week in the magical world of Disney!
Now its time to snuggle in our beds,
and begin to dream about the days ahead.
3 oclock will come early and we must awake,
to the airport well go, a plane we must take.
Were all so excited its the last night in town,
for tomorrow well be Disney World bound!
The trips finally here and well fly out of sight
Happy dreaming to all and to all a good night!
