That’s exactly it. Since our dues are current, they are not meeting their legal obligation in allowing us to use our points to book during the permitted windows.

If Monday comes around and I still can’t modify or book AKL, I am going to ask them to come up with a solution. I don’t know if they will need to move my room for me (if needed) using OTU points that they can then pull back and reallocate once the whole issue is fixed, or something else, but they do need to do something to patch this until the big fix is implemented.

I am trying to add a friend to an existing reservation and I keep getting the Seven Dwarfs.

the site is working horribly this morning. Tried to modify a reservation at the 7th month mark at 8am, got all the way to the borrow screen, successfully borrowed, and then got the dwarves. now points are borrowed and still have the original reservation. site is not loading at all for me now to try and modify

edited to add: my dashboard is somewhat greyed out and takes forever to load the boxes with my point allocations at the top. once it finally loads and looks normal, I get Rex when I try to modify. dues are up to date, so not sure why I am getting Rex. sigh. I'll call MS when they open but jeez.

Same for me, trying to book something. Maddening! We pay enough in dues so this should work flawlessly. I've been booking hotels on the internet for 20 years. Never had an issue doing it until I tried to spend DVC points to book them.

sorry you are having the same issue too I have a 1 night stay I was trying to modify today, and then planning on modifying the rest of our stay tomorrow morning. Maddening is certainly the right word!! so frustrated.

That happened to me the other day too, after a chat with MS they investigated and since I didn't use the points (like at all) the points weren't actually borrowed but were in a in a limbo state(thats the word they used) and would automatically return to their UY within 24 hours.

I was shocked because the points did actually un-borrow themselves within 24 hours. This is was like 12-18 hours before they did

I know Disney is opening 2026 reservations for regular resorts and people are having a hard time getting on there too. Is everything just overwhelmed bc it’s Thanksgiving week? I’ve booked first week of Dec and marathon weekend and never had issues like this.

just checked again and the room I wanted came back! I was able to book it sucessfully. whew. now hopefully tomorrow morning the same thing doesn't happen!

Maybe they are doing backend work to fix the issues allowing restricted resorts to be booked incorrectly.

Another Disney IT update and they still can’t make the site function. No big surprise here. Honestly I don’t understand how this company even survives.

Talked to Disney IT today....the change to not seeing current UY when there are no points IS part of the upgrade. So, that is not a glitch.

Seeing all those contracts in my account when I go to book is an issue and it has to be esclated because it should not be that way. When I discussed the issue with some owners being able to borrow points from post 2019 resale contracts to book the resale resorts, she said that definitely should not be happening and is esclating that as well.

It is possible that whatever caused my old contracts to show up played a role in the system not recognizing the restrictions...which is why some frontline CMs wouldn't catch because they don't see the purchase date when booking....the system always blocked it out and didnt' allow the restricted contracts to be used.

So, if you have ghost contracts in your account that you don't recognize, I'd call and work your way to Disney IT so they can esclate it to be fixed.
