Trial Club Level Fastpass+ Purchase Program Planning & Discussion

I was quite irritated tonight trying to find ANY CM that knew what Club level reserved viewing was or where to go. We had reserved seating for Fantasmic since my granddaughter had never been and no one knew where to go or even what I was talking about. They finally just let us sit with the dining reservation, but I am aggravated that the 4 different people we talked to, including a manager, had no idea about the program.

I would inform your CL staff about that. That’s messed up.

A few pages back, it was reported that DSS CMs cited lack of demand...aka “no shows” for the reserved space.

When Disney is stationing extra CMs for the reserved HEA space and only 12 or so CL guests show up when 40 or more are on the list, it would cause them to reevaluate the offer. It’s always about quotas when anything is offered - from regular meet and greets to Extra perks.

Yes, I posted that I was told that when I booked mine. I think what remains to be seen is if they keep booking the night time shows with fastpasses as an extra “4th” paid fastpass or if you will have to use ones you are getting already for them.

I am more inclined to believe the CM was right rather than the speculation about it being due to the parties at MK. If that was the case, they could simply have deleted the available for FEA viewing. And probably stopped the viewings when the parties actually start, in mid August, not a month later. It would actually be be needed & probably actually used more during party season, so I don’t think theory that makes any sense.

We really liked the nighttime viewing areas, and thought they were an equal benefit to the extra FP+'s as far as program benefits, so I'm very disappointed to see them go away. We did Fantasmic, ROL, and HEA 2 weeks ago, and thought all 3 were great and worth it. It was a little hard to find all but the MK locations, though.

For Fantasmic we were told to go in the FP and dining entrance, and the CMs kept telling us to continue ahead and we would find the location. They all seemed kind of confused at first, then would vaguely know what I meant and say keep going. I kept waiting and asking the Cm at each stop point, until maybe the 3rd one and that CM finally told us to look for the CM with a blue stick (light). That was what we needed to know, and we did find that CM who was also taking the dining vouchers. She checked our name on a list and let us into the special area. It was the last (top) 4-5 rows in the stadium in the very middle. They were good seats and it was great to have the saved so we didn't have to rush to get there, but they were far away. They never did open them for others, and it was maybe just under half full.

For ROL finding the location was a little more challenging. The entrance was a hidden little entrance kind of between the viewing areas. We waited and asked the CM at the FP entrance, and he did tell me where to go after informing me that the program I was referring to was just in its test phases and wasn't permanent, I found that weird to throw in there, since we were doing it that night regardless of test phase or not, it sounded like he wasn't a fan. We saw what looked like it might be an entrance so i explored, and there was a CM who said we were in the right place. Once we found it this location was perfect. Front row and middle, nothing in the way. They had a few rows set aside, and not many people in them. Some people came and sat behind us, and from overhearing their conversation it definitely sounded like they were CMs who weren't working that night and somehow had been allowed to sit there.

For HEA it was awesome having the reserved area. We have never stayed in the park to see the show since it changed from Wishes, and after seeing the chaos and gigantic crowds I remember why we haven't stayed. We were running late from Space Mt FPs, we had to tell a couple of CMs we had a reserved area because they were trying to route people around. However, when I told them they let us through easily. We found the area and there were maybe 3 families there, all spread out. The area was relatively small, but pretty big given the amt of people there. However, there were quite a few small trees and bushes and the fence in the front that really interfered with the view of the castle. We moved around quite a bit in the space left to see where we could get the least obstructed view. The only reason to see if from here and not the lounge at the CR to me was to see the projections, so that was a little annoying. I had to stand to see them, I tried not to block the view of those sitting behind me but again, if I had sat, I would have missed most of the projections. I'm not sure if just being back where the other families were would have made enough difference, or if they were just ok with not seeing the whole castle, I hope they weren't mad I stood but I wasn't going to miss out just so they could sit and not stand. However, despite the trees and not being able to see when sitting, I appreciated being able to walk up 10 min before the show and have a pretty good spot to see it. After witnessing the crowd, if we ever watch from the park again and they don't have this viewing we will only do it with a dessert party reservation.

Your descriptions would be exactly what I would have written from last week. River of Lights was the most hidden but great seats. My tip would be to say VIP seating area and they will know what your talking about, as it is the same area for CL FP+ as VIP escorts. They have the reserved name and number in party on a small white paper.

Fantasmic - blue glow stick middle top, roped off from fantasmic dining ( much to many peoples dismay with fantasmic dining)
River of Lights - passed Everest FP entrance around a big rock, small hidden entrance, section bottom 4ish rows roped off.
HEA, cut through pathway between Casey's and Cystal Palace. Entrance to VIP area with front fake grass (west lawn) Crystal Palace side with cast member.

VIP seating area.... I will remember that when I go in a month..
Thank you @ninafeliz and @Momoftwins+1 for sharing!

BTW, what early before the show should my family check in at these shows?? We have reserved Fantasmic, ROL and HEA. I know @ninafeliz mentioned in her review that her party got there 10 minutes prior. But how about ROL and Fantasmic??

we got to Fantasmic probably around 25 min prior but it then took us maybe 10 to get to the actual entrance where they checked our name. We got to ROL maybe 20 min before it started, and I know it was after 9:00 for the 9:15 HEA because we were hauling and sweating over making it since we didn't want to skip our Space Mt FPs. It turns out doing RS with Splash Mt and then Space Mt on a fairly busy Tuesday evening in the MK takes longer than I had planned, and then throw in it was the first day they were doing the new digital RS and we were lucky we made it (we didn't have time to even get the RS for space mt, let alone use it!). But it worked out!

When I was explaining it to the CM at Fantasmic (our first reserved viewing area) she finally understood it and called it the magical extras program :confused3. So I threw that terminology in when I was asking at ROL, I knew where I was going for HEA I just had to actually physically be able to get there through the crowds!

My opinion was that the viewing area reserved for ROL was excellent, and the viewing areas for HEA and fantasmic were very good, but all 3 were sooooo worth it for not having to find a spot way ahead of time or pay for a dessert party or dinner package. In a way I looked at this as paying for 3 FPs and a viewing area instead of paying for a dessert party, because we are not willing to stake a spot out ahead of time and wait a long time and would only have done these 3 shows with either a dessert party or dinner package.

They didn't open any of the 3 viewing areas up for other guests the night we were there, the seats that were empty stayed empty even though the shows were all full.

I agree, so worth it. We were always early because I'm an "early" type person but with HEA, we were first there and the CM showed us the best viewing spot in his opinion and we stayed there. We stood with our kids when HEA started. It wasn't but 4 families so no rush though.
ROL didnt fill up the area and its s separate entrance so no rush either.

I'd say plan 20 mins early at least for fantasmic ( our DSS told us 30 to 45 mins early) just because it gets pretty crowded close to show time and the CM who let's you in, also deals with fantasmic dinner tickets.

They didn't let anyone into the roped areas where we were but plenty tried at Fantasmic and had to be removed.

Confirmed: beginning September 16th the show perk won’t be part of the paid CL Extras.

I have just been informed by a CM at DSS that Club Level Fastpasses are in the SAME POOL as the regular fast passes ...... so book early if you want to use Club Level F+

Between these two things, I'm going to pass on this. Too bad.

Tomorrow is my 90 day mark. If the cast member says they have discontinued HE A seating, I'm not going to proceed.

Sorry to tell you but it was discontinued. None of the reserved seating areas are available when you book for dates after September 16th. When you call you should ask why they have eliminated it because it is not clear. The speculation is because of low use.

Where did you hear that?
Actually, I'm.pretty sure I heard it from my TA... She said they MAY bring it back after the parties... (Stress on *may)
So if we use it as one of our CL Fast Passes instead, do we then lose the ability to add FPs after our regular fast passes are used up?

Leaving in 7 days. Are people still able to use a regular fp and a CL FP for the same ride even though DSS says you can’t. I have a couple of duplicates booked, but can change them if it is not not working
