Since I have not heart anything I just want to repeat my question one more time.
I answered on Jan. 29th:

An upgrade should be possible to do in-person, but you'll only receive credit for the amount you paid -- and depending on exchange rates at the time you upgrade that may not be favorable to you vs just buying an AP. Also keep in mind that the UK 14-day ticket doesn't have a US-equivalent and comes with some "extras" that you may be required to add-on to the AP if you upgrade after first use (waterparks, memory maker, etc.). My recommendation is to just buy the AP initially and don't bother with the 14-day tickets.

I apologize if this has been explained before...
Can I get a 4 Day Park Hopper and More have 4 park days and the fifth day is for a water park OR would I need a 5 Day PH and More?
Thank you :)

With a 4-day PH+ you actually get 4 of the extra “plus” options. So yes you can do a waterpark on the 5th day. You’ll still have 3 others so you can do mini-golf and/or foot-golf too.

I bought 10 Day PH tickets today through my travel agent. I went into MDE to upgrade to AP's and the only change it is showing me I can make is to change the dates or to add plus. Should these tickets be upgradable? They are date based for April.

Anyone have any experience with renewing AP and not activating within the year?

I renewed my AP in October, used it for AP room discount in December but only attended parks via special event tickets (Jollywood Nights and MVMCP), not my AP. If I do not use my AP for park access before the "activate by" date, will it work just like an unused new AP ($ can be applied to new pass) or, because I used it for room discount (or reasons other than park), does that count toward activation and I'd need to renew again? If I can apply the $, I assume it would be the full rate for a new pass (i.e. no renewal discount), correct?

Kind of a niche scenario but hoping someone out there has experience or knowledge about this. Trying to figure out/plan my trips for this year. Knowing the answer to my question will help me plan the timing for my trip(s?).

Thanks in advance.

There is no need to activate when you renew your AP. At the time of renewal your AP was already activated, so by renewing your APs expiration date was extended for 1 year.

Since you renewed in October I assume your AP will expire in Oct 2025 - but since an AP can be renewed 30 days before and 30 days after expiration it could actually be at a different time. Have in mind that even if you renew 30 days before or after, the new expiration date will be 1 year from the original date.

Since it’s already active I would start planning a few Disney trips :-)

We have a last minute plan for a stop by just have time for1day at MK. Are there any discount sites for a one day ticket? We are not Florida residents. I am a DVC Owner and also have a Chase Disney card but not sure if that does anything for me. Thank You

No. They aren’t commissioned by Disney so no 3rd part is going to discount them and some charge more to prevent losing money on processing them.

No. Guests pay top dollar for one day ticket. A one day ticket to MK is the most expensive ticket.

As above, a renewal AP is active from the date of expiration of the previous AP, whether you use it for park admission or not. So in October 2025 you will have the opportunity to renew it - you can go throught the renewal process and pay for the renewal AP up to 60 days before (note 60 days, not 30) or 30 days after the expiration date, but the renewal will take effect on the same date in October that your current AP took effect.

I'm considering getting the IncrediPass (non Florida resident) and I want to make I understand. I currently have room+ticket reservation. I would pay the difference between the ticket portion of my reservation and the AP at Guest Relations at the parks. I plan on staying at a Disney resort each time I stay-sounds like I don't have make park reservations. Discounts on room reservations during AP year. Food discounts-sounds like its mostly 10% off table service places-any quick service or snack places? Discount off almost all gift shops in the parks, Disney Store at Downtown Disney, any place else? Any other great perk that I'm missing?

I think what you are asking (and I came with the same question) is that if you renew an annual pass but never enter the parks with it (it is never used in the year it is valid) can you use apply those funds for the next year? Or too bad so sad that you renewed it but never actually used it? If that makes sense.

For us, we renewed our APs last year but I don’t think my DH will ever be able to go on a trip bc every time we try to plan something he can’t get off of work. I think it’s entirely possible at this point that he will not use the AP at all this year. Lesson learned, will obviously not renew again.

It’s too bad, so sad if you don’t use it after renewal. There is no “activation” on a renewal, it just keeps on being active.

Very different from buying a non-renewal AP and never activating it. But, if you don’t activate the non-renewal AP within a year of purchase, what happens?

I have an Incredi-pass AP that expires on March 8. I will not be going back to WDW until mid-August and then possibly again in December. I'm thinking it doesn't make sense to renew the AP this time around and instead buy a date based ticket for my August trip and upgrade to an AP there if I'm still going in December and will use the other associated discounts. My upcoming resort stays are on BB offers, not AP discounted. A renewal is $250 less than a new AP, but from a value proposition, I think I'm better off paying more to start my new AP year in August than to pay for something I won't use for 5+ months. I remember reading someone's mathematical analysis of renewing vs new in this sort of case, but it wasn't really relevant to me in the years I've been an AP holder. Am I thinking about this logically? (I suppose if they quit selling APs again, I'd have made a bad bet, but ...)

Thanks for any help and for this great thread!!!

My rule is that if we won't be using our APs for more than two months we don't renew. We get brand new APs and activate them when we start going again. This is for Incredi Pass. I'm not familiar with the other options as we live outside of Florida. Yes, I have done the math :)
