Love potatoes, but have to limit them.
When I was in the hospital, I ordered a side of mashed potatoes, which I haven’t eaten in a very long time, and it was such a comfort food.

Potato chips and French fries. I sneak a few sometimes.

Honorable mention to good home fries with eggs, as long as they are not too greasy.

Your kid all dressed up to go out - you know fancy dress or in a suit - adorable especially when they are little like if they are in a wedding

Your kids helping each other when no one is watching ( or so they think ) older sibling helping a younger sibling do something not because they had to - because they wanted to - adorable

Today's Topic (Wed, 4/2) - 3 unexpected things you have been grateful for

Good Wednesday Morning!

#1 - My 1st Pregnancy - I became pregnant so fast after we decided to start a family - I had a hard time believing it. This is the greatest unexpected thing that has ever happened to me.

#2 - My Sophie Dog (RIP) - My DH surprised me with her July 2008. I never ever expected him to buy her for me. She was my companion for 14 1/2 years.

#3 - Unexpected Magical Moments At WDW - To many to mention, but I will mention that we had a cast member at The Contemporary give my DH a free refillable mug, which was so sweet of her. He was debating with himself if he wanted to buy one or not, and she overheard him talking with us about it (he kept wondering if he’ll get his money’s worth and my DD and I were both telling him to just get it). She called my DD21 to her and handed her the mug and it said it was for her dad. I gave her a hug and my DH put his arm around her and thanked her. DD21 went on the MDE to give her a shout out for being awesome (if you didn’t know, you could do this on the MDE you can, just make sure that you look at the cast member’s name tag so you can get their name). Normally the magical moments have happened with our girls, so it was really nice that my husband could have a nice magical moment for him.

Champ! God brought this precious puppy into my life three days after my 14th birthday. Grandma and I never expected to bring a furry new family member home that Monday afternoon. God, of course, had it all planned.

I'll never forget going on 10 years ago how a kind stranger at Smart and Final one super hot afternoon insisted on paying for all my groceries that were snacks and supplies for church campers. The store credit card I was given to use was not going through (it had had trouble before because it was an older S&F card and the system wouldn't process it). I was exhausted from camp all day and the heat. God placed His angel in this lady to remind me He has and is with us all in all!

Dad, my beloved late grandparents, and I often went to dinner at a family restaurant on Wednesdays. One Wednesday dad and I thought we were dining on our own that evening because we would be late. Grandpa and Grandma were waiting for us at our Wednesday restaurant when God guided dad and I to go there ourselves.

My unexpected second pregnancy I had such a hard time getting pregnant at the first time rounds and rounds and rounds of shots surgeries all kinds of things and I had given up when I got pregnant the first time we really didn’t think it was going to happen so six years later to surprise I had done nothing And shockingly unbelievably I got pregnant even my doctor didn’t believe it Such a blessing A true blessing

The one great amazing pet that everyone always has mine was a dear dog I had gratefully for 12 years I wish it would’ve been for 100 I miss him very much he did such great things and such great antics with the cat they got into so much trouble I miss him very much

And I will agree with SLO All the great magical surprise happy moments magical things that’s been bestowed on my family at DISNEY it’s just too many for me to list but I will say that my last trip which was a solo trip the upgrade they gave me because my room was under refurbishment was beyond amazing and unbelievable DISNEY always goes above and beyond and they acted like they were putting me out and they were so grateful that I take the room and the room was bigger than my first house it’s just unbelievable and they were so grateful that I took it and I was just so amazed that they gave it such an awesome surprise I had several surprises on the cruise from DISNEY they just make things magical

This is tough because I do not like surprises.

Wild Animal Encounters - While you go out in nature knowing there's a possibility, you just never know what you're going to see.

Early Deliveries - I like it when delivery dates are under-promised but arrive ahead of schedule. Ex. My replacement sneakers were originally scheduled to show up this Friday, then the delivery date changed to today, and then yesterday...they showed "Out for Delivery." So, they were several days early.

Unexpected Sale/Coupon - It's always nice when something you always buy or randomly need goes on sale or has a coupon right when you need it.

1981 I was homeless i.e. lazy, everyone married and at the age 25 I wanted a paid vacation...so joined the army...not expecting to be stationed...club med...NYC

1998... this thing called the Internet and my teaching team telling me I needed a word processer at home... I am so grateful for experience of a gold rush... eBay..a once in a lifetime pioneer experience

2007... when Disneyland was so simple to navigate...year of a million dreams... everyone was handed a hat... because I had to go to the bathroom at fantasyland and frontier land border facility

Seat 43.. technically the worst seat on Amtrak Coast starlight...was assigned to me twice South bound and the row to myself entire trip... northbound I always puzzle the seat conductor/trip attendant in Grand Central station LA... you want that seat???... I only have a seatmate between San Luis and Oakland...and time to nap anyways
