When you don’t get Pixar Pier view, World of Color from the 6th floor terrace.

That gets me excited. We somehow snagged 6 nights at VGC during July 4 week. Really looking forward to it. We stayed at VDH (own there) last year for our first DLR trip.

Mine dues definitely show $8.85, which was not what I was seeing reported before. Not a huge difference so it doesn't really matter. Just found it interesting. (My BRV dues aren't exactly what was being reported on all the blogs before either.)

We actually loved staying at VDH last year. We had a preferred view studio that had a good fireworks view, however if I can avoid transient tax for 6 nights I'll take it. We are staying in a Duo at VDH for the first 2 nights.

I do book VDH but not 6 nights, 4 nights for race weekends but 2-3 just for staycations

I will likely never stay at VDH. I mean, we only own resale so we'd have to rent anyway. But even if we didn't, I don't think I'd ever stay there.

Pools are nicer. And the Trader's Sam and Tangaroa Terrace -- solid nonpark facilities.

Better than the beds for sure -- and the nachos from Craftsman's --- going there in 3 weeks!

I sat down saying I’d get in the pool in a minute. Somehow 3 hours passed and I didn’t get in the pool .

Especially when pool service comes around with a drink order!

But, if I’m being honest…. that hot tub is a life saver after day 2 in the park….

I love the VGC pool area…. I would trade it any and every day for the DLH pools….
