Thanksgiving AKL Kidani TR Updated 12/18

For our entrees:
2 of us got the Galactic Miso Salmon,
Miso-Glazed Salmon, Sautéed Leeks, Tempura-fried Mushroom, Curry Blood Orange Beurre Blanc...
It was soo good. Not fishy at all. The glaze tasted delicious.

Space Pad "Thai"
Rice Noodle, Stir Fried Vegetables, Peanuts, Bean Sprouts, Crispy Tofu, Garlic Chili Crunchy , Sweet Soy Chili Sauce

My dad had pad thai... he said it was nothing special. So I would skip that.

My husband got the hamburger.
Gemini Burger
Signature Beef Blend, White Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Shredded Lettuce, Tomatoes, Roasted Pepper Citrus Aioli, French Fries

My husband said it was a good burger. He would recommend again. And the fries were really good, I may have stolen a few... lol.

The dessert looked good online but most of us decided to save room from dessert for the food and wine festival. My sons the meal comes with dessert so he got his plain vanilla ice cream... they are more creative desserts... he likes plain.

My dad then got chocolate icecream... hmm they may be genetic.


We left... but had to take a few pics on the way out.



Overall we really like this restaurant. We are so happy we finally got reservations here. The overall decor is amazing!! Our server was very nice and helpful. It is a bit expensive... I think lunch is a good option. Cheaper than the dinner at $79. I would not do this all the time but really nice to do every now again.

Next we had virtual que for Gardians so we head over there next. My dad taps out and heads back to the hotel.




My son has mix feelings about this ride... he looves marvel... but he hates the backward part of the ride.... he said he wants to wait till he gets a little older for this ride.

Next we go shopping becuase u have to walk out of rides through stores and did I mention we are a family of marvel fans, right? My son some how sweet talked my mom into buying the iron man infinity gauntlet.... it was 40% off and then we got to add our Ap discount on top of it soo... my son now has a huge gauntlet... we had to promise we would not play with it in the parks... intersting... it does include all the stones and lights up. Soo neat. I saw the photographer out so we jumped in and my son asked if he can pose with his new toy... the photographer was soo good with him and the posing.



Next we head to Figment. My son has been wanting to ride to Figment all day. He looves this ride... finds it soo funny.




When we leave we see Figment out. My son thought he looks creepy... soo we skip him even though I would love to meet him.

We went to the special visa disney card character meet. I love these meets since they have such short lines. We got to see Pluto and Minnie Mouse. I have never seen minnie in her classic outfit. I love it.





Then we head to the food and wine festival.

My son though stopped and really watched this water feature.
He watched it for a while, super cute. He thought it was cool the the water should be going down but it is going up.



I noticed a photopass spot again... so more pics!

Including a muppets one!!

And a Figment magic shots! Score on magic shots!


Now we head to the world show case and which way do we choose... Mexico or Canada....

We choose neither! We took the boat! We choose boat because we have das pass for Remy ride and we don't know how long my son will last.
The boat is nice...if you have never done it. It is like it's own ride.

My mom got some sake from Japan. Soo smooth.



I went to France. While my husband and son found a bench to sit and relax.

We try alot... I got like everything from it... lol.





I say yes too all the food here. It was all really good. We shared it.




The drinks are soo yummy. We split the drinks too.

Next we did Brazil.
Brazilian cheese bread yummy!

And Belgium!
Also got a plain waffle for my son...
But we got this yummy waffle.

Beer-braised Beef served with smoked gouda mashed potatoes

All the food was soo good.
Then I went to Morocco... I waited a while in the cafe... soo long. I decided to ditch the line and go to Oasis Sweets & Sips...much shorter line and got a blood orange mimosa.


Very yummy and I got pastries! Such a good deal.3 for $6.75! What a deal in disney. I got a cute box to put it in and decided to save them later. Look at how cute they are?


It is time for Remy... we head over.



Man do we all loved this ride. Soo much fun and really cute.

We did pics leaving the ride now that the photographer line was short.


And we take the boat back across.
My son and my mom are done now. So they are heading back to the hotel. My mom said she would watch her grandson. So date night! Got to love grandmas


Then we go get some more yummy treats. I ahd my eye on the Liquid Nitrogen Frozen Sweet Potato Mousse with candied pecans and maple-caramel sauce from Swirled booth. This thing is amazing!





I love that they let u watch it too. Soo smart disney. This was truly a unique and wondeful dish. My fav out of the festival.

Next Forest and Field and got Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli with sage-brown butter, pecorino cheese, and hazelnut praline. Soo yummy. I just wish there was more... why is there not more.


Shimmering Sips with a mimosas flight!!

You get such a good deal with flight.
These are good sizes and only $14....

We needed two more things on the cheese list sooo... my husband went to these two
places to get more cheese items...

Hawaiʻi Marketplace | Passion Fruit Cheesecake

It tasted good. Nice light and fluffy love the contrast with the nuts.

We are getting super full... but one more on the cheese list...Boursin® Fig & Balsamic Cheesecake

It is yummy...I feel like I could not appreciate it though because I am just soo full... lol.

We decided to stop eating for a bit and wait on the free dessert. So we get up and move. Pics with the tree is always nice.

Then we go shopping. I want to look at some festival merch... there is not much left on the last day. I end up getting a Figment food and wine pin.
While we were looking at merch my husband said he has to check out something... I find out... some one hacked into our ticket master account and sold our avalanche hockey tickets.... eep! Soo we found a quite place to sit and my husband spent a bit of of time waiting for someone to pick up... soo much fun. I take some pics while waiting.



After a while... I go and redeem our cheese stamps and our free cheese cake frozen yogurt. It was yummy. A nice way to end the night.

My husband finally gets someone on the phone and they said they should be able to take care of it... yeah!!! Just have to wait for regular business hours to do most of it. (2 days later we got the tickets back!!)

So we debate do we want to stay for fireworks or go back... the tickets thing kindof killed the mood... and we are feeling the tiredness soo we decided to head home. We also got a call from grandma... our son wants us back. So that seals the deal.

This filter is pretty cool, making Spaceship Earth lights like little mickey heads.

Then we watched a Spaceship Earth show...

Then we walk to our super close parking spot and headed home... (I do love I can say home for our hotel.)

Back at our room... my husband had fun with the gauntlet.

Sunday Day 3
AK!
We woke up and got ready for Ak. We made breakfast and got out the door but behind the time i wanted to be here... but not by much.
The drive is soo short to Ak.

The lines are already long... I try to go around to the side... it is shorter my family does not follow me... bah.
So we are behind a lot of people.
We follow the herd to avatar.

The line is very long...

Gives us chance to take pics...




This area is soo pretty.

The line is long but at least it keep moving.
Good thing since this is pushing my sons limits... we ended up doing a lot of tricks to keep him calm and happy... just keeping my fingers crossed on no meltdowns. Which yeah we made it to the ride with no meltdowns!

We all loved the ride. 2 years ago when my son did it... he did not like it but he wanted to try it again and this time he looved it. So that is nice. We head out.

The half an hour is of resort only is done...

Next we walk all the across AK to the Safari to hit it up before the long lines.



Man do we love this ride.
We see all the cool animals. My son is soo happy.


I mean come on I can reach out touch some of these animals.

We get off of safari... and sadly we need to cross AK again... to get to Santa and dinoland.

At this point my dad said I was killing him and he would have to leave even earlier because of all the walking and standing. We have been hinting out maybe he should look at renting a scooter. So finally he broke down and got a scooter. He has been having trouble walking for a bit but he is very stubborn and will walk a little and then sit and walk and sit. Thr safari line had not sitting spot for him soo he was in pain sadly. He and my husband went to the front of the park to get a scooter while me and my mom keep my son entertained.

Let me tell u once he rented a scooter he was soo much happier the rest of the trip. He could enjoy being with the family instead being in pain.
So lesson here if you are having a hard time walking and standing it is okay to rent a scooter.

Ohh forgot to mention while heading to dinoland... we got some pics.

And we saw one of the cool floats. I love these extra magic touches.

As we got closer to Dinoland we saw Kevin... but now the hunt for Kevin was on... where will he stop for pics!

Now the reason why we rushed down to dinoland Santa! They made a special Santa area in Dinoland and my son is obsessed with Dinosour soo we needed to do this Santa. We plan on using these pics as our offical Santa pics too. We get in line for the 10am meeting. There are people already waiting. As we wait in look at all the cool details there are dinos every where.



My husband and dad come rolling up in his scooter. Dad is happy. Yeah! And we wait and wait... Santa is running late.

Also while in line is recognized another YouTuber. They stopped youtubeing recently to focus on the the babies... they did rundisney videos. We chatted about Dopey and that was really nice to pass the time.

Then we get to meet Santa. My son is soo excited to meet him and goes into lots of detail of his xmas list.... lol
Santa also loves his dino xmas shirt.
Then pics time!


We then do a family pic including a pic with grandpa! This pic will be our xmas card pic.



Next we head to the Dinosour ride. My son hates that this ride is going... I mean hates it.


He loves this ride.

I wish they could just add another land in... instead of take away a land.



Well we are going to enjoy this ride till it goes.

I got pot stickers.. and steamed dumplings. I looved them.




My son got fried chicken tenders.


I forget what this was... it was one of the specials. Korean fried chicken I think..


Then I got the fried wantons dessert. It was amazing!!

We head back to dinoland cause my son wants to go play in the Boneyard. This is another thing in Dinoland that we are going to miss...







While my son and dad are playing I wait in line for Donald. We want to get pics with all the characters here in their dino outfits before they leave. Man I love the xmas decorations they did here.
Donald takes a break right when we are next... of course.
So the photographer does a couple of pics next to the xmas tree to make my son happy. Man are cms soo good with kids.

Then Donald comes! My son is soo happy.

Next we went on the hunt for chip and dale.. I know they are the back trails... the cm helped me and said behind daisy spot... so we go past Daisy and find them with no line! They are in the cutest costumes. This is a the hidden gem. They are soo funny. My son and me loved them. They loved his shirt too being the dino xmas shirt.





Easily one of my top characters meet and greats.

Then since Diasy was right there... we decided to do another pic! We made sure the Dinosour was in the pic too. My son loves dinosaur.




At this point my son was done with character meet and greets. So we do not do Goofy... I think that is the only character we misses in this area.

We check out Tricirtops spin and man is the line really long... my son decide it is too long for himself. He has gotten much better at figure out what will cause himself to get triggered.

So I go through a list of what we could do next instead and my son choose next rafakis planet watch. So we cross AK... I am soo happy my dad has his scooter and head over too the train. While we head to the area I notice the Merry Menagerie were out... this is the first time we have been able to see them... we are either to early or it is raining.

We all loved them.












We pet each one because how can u not?

Ohh and the merch for this is super cute. We
May come back later to buy something.
