We will be in Disney on Feb 9, which is Super Bowl. Huge football fans so plan to watch no matter who is playing. (If you think I'm wasting my Disney time, that may partially be true, but I am who I am!).
Questions:

1) Main plan is to go back to resort, order room service and watch the game in our villa (GF). Alternately, I made reservations in Disney Springs in case we felt like going that way to do shopping and then watch the game. Right now I have reservations at House of Blues. I can't seem to get reservations at City Works, which I bet is a great place to watch. Looks like they have TVs so I'm hoping that's a reasonable choice. Thoughts?

2) Parade. Google is failing me. Anytime I google Super Bowl Parade Disney it gives me info on past parades, mostly in Disneyland. This year, with SB in New Orleans, I think it will be at Disney World. Why is this info so top secret??? I suspect it'll be Monday. What time? Looking for educated guesses. Maybe 11 am?

Thanks all!

As for number 2- the location depends on who wins (well recently anyway), teams west of the mississippi go to Disneyland, East go to WDW.

Thanks! I thought the parade location was based on where the game was played not where the team was from, so this is helpful. If my Lions win, maybe I will get to see them. But since it'll be the Chiefs, looks like my Sunday really opened up 🤣 🤣 🤣

Parade is based on where the game is played.

Last 3 years were west coast games (LA, Arizona, Vegas) and parade was in Disneyland.

Last time the game was in NO the parade was in Disney World.

Ok that is what I was thinking... NO = Disney World parade.

Cityworks does a paid watch party. Check their website for details. We went ahead and bit the bullet on a reserved table to guarantee a good place to watch.

Thanks for that tip! I didn't know about the watch party and it is sold out.
I think we'll most likely end up back at the villa, but was just thinking of hopping into DSprings in case we felt like that instead. If we do, hopefully we can see the game in some fashion at House of Blues. I think they have some TVs there.

Splitsville is another spot to try if you’re in Disney springs. They may be reservation only for the SB but i don’t think there’s an up charge.

Sooo, I guess I am confused, I thought if the game was played closer to west coast they go to DL, and closer to east coast they would go to WDW? Never thought it was decided by the teams home town.

We are also there for the Super Bowl and are planning MK on Monday. Was hoping since its on NOLA that the winner would be in the parade at WDW.

Random location but we watched part of the Super Bowl at Steakhouse 71 Lounge by accident one year. Wouldn’t want to watch the whole game there as it’s not a place to get rowdy and those chairs are only good for a couple hours being a bar but if you want some good food/drinks it’s a good option for part of the game.

@Jsharp13, honestly, the GF Villas are so nice that I'd seriously consider your first plan to watch the game in the villa with room service. Pop outside at 8 PM to watch the fireworks and then back in for the game.

For TVs, I am not sure if there is anywhere at GF to watch the game besides in your room. I will also be at that resort, and I think I'll likely watch in my room and head over to MK if the Eagles are getting whooped.

Rix Sports Bar & Grill at Coronado will have the game on. It will likely be packed! Editing to add that I checked the MDE app, and they have no open reservations past 12:45 p.m!

Regarding the parade, I am putting it in my plans as a maybe. That day at MK, there are three parades/cavalcades. The Festival of Fantasy is at 12:00 and 3:00, and the Adventurers Cavalcade is at 5:10.

For the Super Bowl parade, does anyone know if it is a stand-alone parade or part of an existing one?

I'm starting to see a few Facebook posts about prior super bowl parades. It definitely seems like at least the quarterback (and maybe others? but one person said once it was only the QB?) will be on a lead float in one of the parades... Now, which one will it be??? Will they announce that I wonder??

Okay, it makes sense that they would have him as the lead in an existing parade. It's quite a production getting the park ready for a parade: tape, ropes, and directing people's traffic. Depending on the athlete's schedule, I imagine they have a plan for each parade. Hopefully, we will know something by late morning.

Here is what wiki says about who's "Going to Disney!"

It's determined by where the Superbowl is being played (not by the teams). The winner will wind up at MK this year

For what it is worth, the teams did not go to the west coast park. The past two years, it was was just Patrick Mahomes.

ETA: two years ago the cavalcade was at 1:30 pm and last year it was at 2 pm. I don't know what time they will do it at WDW.
