I picked VGF. I have never stayed there and would like to but only for a day or 2. Not sure the vibe is me, so I would want to have a short visit to check it out.

.
I mean, I've still only stayed at one of these choices....so I just picked that one. 😁 BRV/CCV.

Please tell us what you chose! I want to know.
we picked a SV Poly studio:

1) This will be after a split stay at BWV GV and VGF 2BD
2) Lowest cost option available on the dates that is close to a park (sorry OKW, SSR, and AKV)
3) Big room size with two showers if we want to just hang at the pool
4) Easy monorail over to EPCOT and boat ride over to MK
5) Dole whip stand
6) BCV has SAB refurb or this would have been the pick

Since you say park time… beach club. I don’t care for SAB and the DVC pools are fine.
You can walk to Epcot and Skyline to HS or boat.

Skyline over to Riviera for quick service.

Monorail resorts are ok and I like making the loop and visiting the gift shops and getting a drink or snack.

I did not cast a vote but those are my choices.

I would also choose Boardwalk for the same reason as BC.
👆This!! Easy access to EP/HS for the win. And it's my favorite place to run as the sun is coming up.

If going to the parks:
Bwv
Poly
Bcv
BLT/GFV

If not, going to the parks:
Poly
SSR
Okw
Bwv
Not going to the park: Poly

As someone who has never been to Poly, I would be curious to learn more about what some of you favorite resort things are to do there.

My concern is that we are also Aulani owners and so it’s going to feel very Aulani-ish. Not a bad thing, but not a different experience.

Hands down, favorite thing is fireworks from the beach at Poly. We've done that pretty much every night we've stayed there (though, we have young kids, so are generally out of the parks by then). Otherwise, Dole whips... we like the quiet pool too (the main one is fun, but can be pretty overwhelming). I'd be curious to check out the new tower though that doesn't open til Dec.

Update: I put in a BCV studio waitlist. I don’t expect it to fill
Poly is nice on its own bc its just easy to lazy around the quiet pool, wander around over to GFV, drink at traders Sam, wander over to ft wilderness or WL. You don’t need to go into MK (my kids least favorite park but they like staying at poly!).

The beauty of poly if you’re going into the park is that it’s a near park resort for BOTH Epcot and MK. You can walk right to TTC via a small path. So no need to transfer monorail lines.

If you want walk ability to both MK and HS, then IMO, Boardwalk is a better choice than beach club. I like beach club because their pool is pretty fun especially for kids.

You can’t go wrong whatever you choose!

Last update: My wife and I watched a bunch of videos on Poly and decided that it may not be the best fit for us since we go to Aulani often and want a different vibe at WDW.

We looked at CCV/BRV, and would have likely been happy here, but since we live in the Pacific NW and are Grand Cal owners…. it felt like the vibe is what we see all of the time.

I personally would love a day at Animal Kingdom, but it will be going under refurb and we don’t want to walk down long hallways when we are really just staying there for a day.

We talked about SSR so we could pop over to Disney Springs… but decided we don’t get to go to WDW that often and so being at a “dream resort” or close to the parks was more important.

So we settled on VGF, BW, or BC.

A VGF resort studio opened up and we switched to that so that we don’t have to change hotels…. just lug our stuff from the Villas section to BPK. We’ll waitlist a Deluxe Studio.

I’m sure it made someone’s day because the Poly studio was picked up almost as soon as I dropped it.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and insights! It’s fun to read through why people love all of these fantastic resorts!
