ROFR Thread Oct to Dec 2024 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

Somehow I missed those details. But yeah why air out the dirty laundry
I googled the owners of one contract I purchased and the husband was an attorney in North or South Carolina that was pulled over at 2am with a DUI not long before they put multiple contracts up for sale….

What is a respectable married man doing out driving intoxicated at 2am? Did his wife decide to leave him and the contracts were being liquidated for a divorce? Oh the answers I’d love to know….

I love the detective work and I’m glad I’m not only one who googles names 🤣

Offer pulled. Waiting on the reasoning, but it appears the broker listed the 2025 points at 160 instead of 0. I caught it while reviewing the contract. Mistakes happen, no hard feelings.

Not a terrible contract as it is, but not what I am looking for at the moment. So on we go with our attempts to restructure our DVC portfolio!:rolleyes1

Edit: Broker states that the seller gave an incorrect number of points.

Fidelity?

Wow, thats a big error. It pays to read the fine print. Painful lesson for someone, if they even know at this point.
The seller knew what their dues were, but they may not have known that it was rare. The price per point asking was $120 which is in line with a sub dues contract price but the listing didnt say sub dues so I offered as if it were not sub dues and they accepted. I was buying it either way but I was immensely happy when I verified it was in fact a subsidized contract

Glad you read it thoroughly and found out early on. I read mine a couple times close it then go back 10 minutes later with fresh eyes and read it again. Checking even for typos in spelling of names because I’ve heard that can make things difficult later on if not caught.

I’m sure you will find an equal or even better deal.

Please remember….when you want to discuss a broker, use the website link…if it is filtered, then you can’t discuss them at all. Thst would include just saying a broker and describing the experience.

I did delete a few posts. I realize that this prevents certainly brokers from being discussed on the DIS.

That’s a nice little contract. Congrats!

Thanks. Interested in peoples gut feelings as to whether Disney will snap this? Its been a couple of years since we last bought and back then AKV wasn't on their radar and they were going for stripped contracts.

Really good price on a small contract! Congrats!!

Will it pass? Hard to say. I remember seeing a similar pp get taken last week, maybe 2. That may have had double points in 2025.

My gut says no they won’t take this one. Good luck!!

Good luck, I’m also waiting on AKL rofr. Someone on a uk dvc group I’m in had theirs taken (210 pts, stripped, akl) taken by Disney and it was an international seller too which was a huge surprise. However, I’ve also seen that two akl contracts got through in the last week - so who knows

IndyUK---$100-$5000-50-AKV-Sep-8/24, 50/25, 50/26

We went and offered the asking price as it seemed a really good deal. Never used Fidelity before (always used Resale Market) but im paying cash instead of financing.

Really hoping Disney don't swipe this as its a cracking deal to us.
Any closing costs? Dues? Fidelity fee?

I’m extremely surprised to hear they took a contract from an international seller. Was the price extremely low? Even so it’s been practically unheard of.
