Bing Showei---$85-$17725-200-SSR-Aug-200/17, 200/18, 200/19- sent 1/16, taken 1/31

Kinda saw this one coming. Was too good to pass up. Guess Disney felt the same way.

Easy profit for disney on that one. Sorry you lost it but being loaded like that, you could see it coming.

Can someone explain what all this means?

landry---$120-$25824-200-BLT-Feb-0/16, 0/17, 200/18, 200/19- sent 12/15

Does this mean this is for sale, or that this person is trying to buy???

Jennifer Bowers---$95-$15970-150-BRV@WL-Dec-164/17(42 banked from '16), 150/18, 150/19- sent 2/01

I've been stalking this thread for weeks. First time buyer. Had one fall through at SSR due to seller changing contract. Fingers crossed on this one!

they are in the buying process... it’s a way for others to see what time it is taking for the each part of the process to take place

Actually it is the name of the buyer or seller, the price per point, total price of the contract with closing costs, the resort, the UY, then 2016 points, 2017 points, 2018 points, and 2019 points, then the date it was sent to out for ROFR.

So it is the cost of the contract with the total points currently available.

There are 2 other threads that track the wait time for contracts.

Most are buyers but it can be a seller too. The important part is to track the contracts so we can follow the trends and guess-timate how much to offer. See post #1 for all the info about how to read that string :)

Nice, thanks. We just made an offer at BLT $140, $29919, 200 BLT Feb 200/17 - 400/18 (can anyone explain this) 200/19. It was literally just listed, we offered, they accepted! WOWZERS! So now we have to wait on this ROFR (I looked it up). Does Disney often actually refuse sales?

Congrats on your accepted offer!! Always exciting to take the first step :-) Based on past ROFR data, you're likely safe.

The 2017 points are probably banked from 2016. And then they must've already banked the 2017 points to 2018 (so there's now double points in that UY), which is irreversible.

This is actually a fully loaded contract by most people's standards and the $140/per point price is within what BLT has been going for on the high range. So this is a pretty good deal. To bad you can't use the 2016 points bank into 2017 UY, but it is good that the owners banked the 2017 UY points into 2018. So you will have 200 points that need to be used by 1/31/2018 and you can either bank the 2018 UY points into 2019, or use 400 points this year.

I would guess that the owners got into some financial trouble and couldn't afford to go to WDW for vacation and didn't know how to rent the points out to cover the maintenance fees. But it could be something else like a divorce or international seller. You can ask the broker if it is one of these situations.

They don't "refuse" sales. The legal term "right of first refusal" basically, in plain English, means they have the option to replace themselves as the buyer on your contract. So, if they think it's a good deal, they can "exercise" their ROFR (or "take" the contract) and then you get your deposit back and get to find another contract and try again. If they "waive" ROFR (or "pass" on the deal), then the transaction goes ahead and you will close the sale per the terms of your contract. The vast majority are not bought back and pass, but not always. You'll find out soon enough! :)

Please go to post #1 in this thread and click the link there to format the string like the others. Then you can join the list and be part of the fun! :D
