Photo Sharing: Ultra Wide Angle

Cool new exhibit at the NYS Fair all about its history starting back in the 1800's. One of the displays was a timeline showing all the big time entertainers who have performed at the Fair. I remember each one of them starting in 1969. Another using the Sigma 15mm Fisheye lens.

After seeing all of these pictures, I had to get myself an Ultra Wide. My Tokina 11-16 came yesterday and I love it!

Where did you take this from? I am in Northern NJ and debated going to Liberty State Park to take some shots of this but decided not to because of the haze. It looks like I made a poor decision, this pic looks great!

Thanks. I took that from the Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was really hazy around midnight and the lights were off for a while. I was just about to leave at 1am and the lights came back on.

Stayed at the DLH two weeks ago...

And here's what it looks like when you rotate the camera into portrait position and stitch together 6 horizontal shots, plus one up, and two down (one offset to mask out the tripod.)

And then, if you want, click this link to see the final pano loaded into an interactive HTML 5 viewer, so that you can pan around with your mouse :cool1:

(It's amazing how the carpet looks all stretched out in the raw photo, but it stretches perfectly back into place in the viewer.)

These are from an Olympus E-P3 with Rokinon 7.5mm fisheye

A few more DLH panos here (pool, lobby, etc.):
