Hi Folks,

This trip is not Disney related, and I couldn't find a good answer with a google search or Disboards search. My daughter is attending a Bachelorette Weekend in Daytona Beach. All the girls except her are flying into and out of Sanford Airport SFB. There are no flights to or from my daughter's airports to Sanford Airport SFB, so she is going to have to fly into and home from Orlando MCO. She's trying to figure out the best/cheapest/most direct way to get from Orlando MCO to Sanford Airport SFB to meet her friends on the front end and then to get from Sanford Airport SFB, where all the girls get dropped off, to Orlando MCO for her flight home on the back end.

Are there any shuttles that run between SFB and MCO? If there are, how much do they cost? Does anyone know the approximate Uber or Lyft cost to go from SFB to MCO and vice versa. Any other good ideas are also appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Pretty sure there are no shuttles. Uber/Lyft is probably the easiest/cheapest. BUT...
1) How are the girls getting from Sanford to Daytona? Renting a car? If so, can your daughter rent the vehicle at MCO, drive to SFB, pick everyone up, then drive to Daytona? Assuming they're splitting the cost of the rental, this may be the actual best solution.
2) Can your daughter fly into Daytona and then meet the girls wherever they're staying? Daytona may even been cheaper than MCO.

Uber/Lyft/Taxi or car rental will be the only options.
To get a price for Uber or Lyft download the app select your starting and drop off and prices will come up DO NOT order the ride however as you will be charged. Prices can vary greatly with peak pricing at different times of the day. If the price high when she gets there she can wait a few minutes and try again as the prices can change by the minute depending on demand and number of driver - Peak pricing. If you want a set price contact a private company there are many to choose from but these will be more expensive then uber/lyft non peak and sometimes wven high peak pricing.

I'm hoping I can get Uber/Lyft to take me into Lake Buena Vista Area.
I was told I'd have to hire private service:scared:.
The only one I found was Sunny transportation, price was less than most.
I have not book with them, nor do I really know anything about them .Someone on Disboards mentioned them.

I would rather not spend $$$ on private transportation.

Why couldn't you do Lyft/Uber/Taxi?

I was told that Uber/Lyft wouldn't go to Lake Buena Vista Area from Sanford Airport, that it's too far.
But I guess I'll find out when I arrive in September
They will; there are just many fewer drivers waiting at Sanford Airport because there are so few flights in and out. Better off grabbing a Mears taxi; they will be on the curb waiting.

People on here talk about Tony Hinds(not sure I spelled his last name correctly), does he pickup at Sanford and go to Lake Buena Vista Area? Does anyone have his contact information? TIA :wave2:

Here's the txt after putting in information:

Taxicab service cannot be scheduled from the website or App from the Orlando Sanford International Airport. Please proceed to the taxi loading area located outside of Terminal B.

So I guess I'll wait until I can contact Tony Hinds or just grab Uber/Lyft/Taxi when I arrive.

How are her freinds getting around once they arrive? Perhaps she can rent a car and then her friends can pitch in for part of the cost when driving around together. Seems that would be cheaper then everyone paying for their own transportation.

That's the third time the question has been asked. OP hasn't responded.

How are the girls getting from Daytona to SFB? See if you can negotiate a drop off at MCO

She is still trying to figure out how the other girls are getting from the airport to the Airbnb and back. Communication has not been that great. The bride is her cousin, whom DD has known her whole life. But she doesn't know any of the other bridesmaids. I think this is why she's so worried about transportation. As the outsider, she doesn't want to get stranded. I suggested the rental car idea with her renting the car and everyone chipping in. I also told her that uber/lyft or hiring a town car may be the best option if it's just her.

The two big issues are 1) cost - she's trying to travel as economically as possible because being in the wedding with all its activities is breaking her budget. 2) She's flying into FL from Chicago and flying home to DC. There are no flight choices in or out of Sanford, and very few out of Daytona. She may fly into MCO and fly home from Daytona to minimize airport transfer time.

She's going to the bridal shower this weekend and will finally meet the other bridesmaids. She's going to make sure she talks through all the options and gets more details while she's with everyone face to face.

Thank you all for all the options you've shared.

I think the best plan would be her getting the rental from MCO, picking up the girls at Sanford and going to AirBnB from there. Of course, if she's under 25 or departing from Daytona, that puts a wrench in things.

If that doesn't work, ride share from MCO to SFB.

What will she do if her flight is delayed, or canceled and she's rebooked on a later flight? How long will the rest of the group wait in MCO?

She is the only one flying into and out of MCO. The rest are flying in and out of Sanford. Her work trip to Chicago ends on Thursday. The Bachelorette in Florida starts on Friday. Her company will pay for her flight to Florida; then she'll have to pay for a hotel for Thursday night and her flight home to DC. Unfortunately, nothing about this trip is lining up perfectly, but she's trying to make it work.
