*** Official Jollywood Nights 2024 ***

I think last year was a bit of an oddity with El Nino happening. It was also unusually cold there too.

Fingers crossed this year for more normal December weather!
I’m truly having such a hard time planning my outfits because of the weather variations. I’ve only been to WDW twice Ann both times were in January and both times were what I would consider shorts and a tank top weather. As of now I’m trying to have alternate attire for each park day… so I can be ready for either temperature. What I pack will be based on the forcast a few days before I travel and that causes anxiety for me hahaha

Layers is key! The difference from day to night can be varied!

I'm just packing all my summer dresses, a cute jacket to wear with them at night, a few pairs of jeans if really cool at night and the medium warmth, but not winter, jacket I'll wear on the plane!

I'll bring long sleeve tops or sweaters to wear under my medium weight jacket if it's colder. And I'll bring a hat if forecast seems to be really cold.

I'm hoping it's a bit warmer than normal this year. I hate wearing jeans on vacation!

Don't know how reliable this is but on the Touring Plans site it's got ExEH for AK on Dec. 11, 2024 until 8:00 pm. I have to change my schedule of park days! Dining Reservations for me is Oct. 10th!! Yikes!!

What is the usual protocol for day guests staying into the party hours without a ticket? Can you simply walk around and enjoy the atmosphere for a while without going on rides? Have something to eat etc?
Thanks

No, the CM's will see that you do not have a lanyard and escort you toward the exit once the park officially closes.

What the previous poster said is probably pretty accurate. But tbf, I do think that 45min-1hr crossover from park close to day guests (but shopping, last photos and mingling is still allowed) to party starting, you can probably catch a bit of the atmosphere and the live music and performers. If I recall correctly, we got in line to see Powerline Max right at party open and I’m sure there were still non-party guests around, so you can see some of the rarer characters out and about around the Chinese theater and Echo Lake, too.

It was also really fun to see so many people dressed fancy to a Disney park. I was surprised by how many people got into the spirit, even just seeing that as the party guests started showing up made it feel special and unique!

I'm going December 18th. I'm coming in just for the party. Flying in Tuesday night and back out on Thursday morning. DD has a pass to go with one guest, so I just had to do this. We have a longer trip planned in January to really visit with her.

I'm really looking forward to this but still working on what to wear.

We have never been to a Christmas party at WDW and already have tickets to MVMCP this year. We will be there during a couple Jollywood party nights as well. For those that have been to both recently would it be worth going to Jollywood as well? We are there long enough to do all the parks, MVMCP and Jollywood so we wouldn't really be sacrificing anything else. Thanks!

I thought this was helpful for those of us who have hoppers and may arrive at park earlier to do some rides and may want to reserve with multipass or LL. This calendar on Disney website shows the park hopping times, so that let's us know how late we can make ride reservations!

Hey all! We’re contemplating MVMCP on Dec 10 and JN on Dec 11th! I’ll let you know when I buy tickets.

Who is planning to do Jazzy Holidays at Brown Derby? Has anyone been before? I’m guessing reservations for that date will open with the same 60 day policy, so this Friday?

ETA: looking at the menu and reviews from last year, I’m think it’s not worth the time for reservations. Thoughts?

Probably not worth it for folks who are active. DH and I are older ((72 and 81) with a few mobility issues, so we won’t be hurrying around going from ride to ride. I’ll probably make a reservation as a low effort holiday activity, even though the menu doesn’t really appeal.

We just decided to go for Dec 13 - 16 and bought tickets to both parties! I was at the disastrous first Jollywood Nights last year, so we're interested to see how this year's party goes.
