Just watched a video that says opening days of festivals are one of the highest crowd level days. Would you all avoid Epcot on Friday, the 17th, and go instead on 18th or 19th? It’s a holiday weekend so maybe it’s all really busy anyway.
I just saw that January 15th is the 50th anniversary of carousel of progress. I planned on being in MK on that day, so I’ll have to be sure to ride it!

The whole weekend will be busy, so it's hard to say. I wouldn't particularly avoid one day over the other, but if you are attending for the festival, I would arrive at park opening and be ready to go for booth opening at 11am. That means having your festival passport ready to go and having a game plan for what you are trying and in what order.
We like using the "WDW Food & Wine" app, which allows us to pre-select items we want to try from each booth, and then keeps a record of what we've tried.

Hello all, we are staying at the Drury Plaza Disney Springs before our POR visit. I have read a few places that the 60+10 ADR booking window opens for us when we are staying at the Drury. Is this true?! This would be amazing if our ADR booking date begins with our stay here. And if this is true - how does it work? Do the days on the app turn blue and indicate that we have choice availability for the full 10 days at a time?

I have read mixed information on this--sometimes the app shows all days in blue, but nothing happens when you click on it; sometimes calling customer service can lead to being able to book or not being allowed.

The 12th is my first full day (I arrive late afternoon on the 11th), and I had planned on just relaxing that day and maybe popping into MK but now thinking of visiting AK for the last day of the “parking lot” part of Dinoland. Wonder if it’ll be crowded? I don’t particularly love that section but would be nice to see it one last time. Anyone else having plan on visiting it that day?
