October 2024 Check-In Thread

Made it to Anaheim (after an extremely long but surprisingly good journey), going to walk over to DCA soon for my first day back here in 6 years!

Going on my first solo trip Oct 24th! Staying at the Hilton Anaheim which means Ill be learning/using the ART bus for the first time. Very excited!
The only thing I am bummed about is the virtual queue for Haunted Mansion Holiday- this is a ride I would typically try to hit twice each day. Oh well! Going at my own pace and trying new things will make up for it

You can skip ART and walk into Toy Story lot and catch the Disney bus there. You also go through security there, not at the park.

That's our plan. Wife and I along with a friend and her 21YO daughter will be there Oct 20-26. Staying at the Clarion.

I've searched and can't find an October 2024 check-in thread...and October is less than a month away!! (If there is one, someone point me in the right direction please)

If there's not one, anyone else going in October?? My best friend and I are going October 14th-19th. Staying at The Anaheim Hotel and doing 3-park days and 1 Oogie Boogie Bash night! I dragged my bestie along for her first ever Disney trip last June. She was excited but thought I was exaggerating on how much she was going to love it. Well, I've created a Disneyland monster and I'm soooo excited we get to do another girls' trip during our favorite time, Halloween!

All my October friends, when are you going?? Where are you staying? What is your costume?? What are we eating? What are we buying?? Share all the October things!!

Going with my daughter and foster granddaughter Oct 24-28. So excited to show her DLR for the first time but a little nervous since she is 5 and has some developmental delays. My daughter and I are Disney nuts and are both excited to add another to our crew!

10 days and counting! Will be there 20th, 21st, 22nd and then Knotts on the 23rd.

4 more days for me! Finally finished my costume and have my "piles" ready to pack. It doesn't feel like it's this close for some reason. I think being out of school for so long has been messing with my concept of time! It sounds like we won't go back until the 28th...wish I could extend my trip if that's the case!!

Side note: anyone there right now and can let me know if the Vampire Teddy buckets are still around? It's crazy to be going mid-October and a lot of the Halloween stuff is gone/low.

They are, but they are getting more and more difficult to find. There are a couple of Instagram accounts that I follow where people post locations and times of where they find high demand items. If you are interested, I can share those account names with you through PM.

Wife and I will be there on 10/19. We're taking 6 of our nieces and nephews. Should be fun!

My husband and I will be there from October 29th- November 3rd, staying at the Grand Californian. This is our one-year anniversary trip and we are SOOOOO excited!! We are WDW regulars but visited DLR for the first time last year and we were hooked. We're starting out the trip with 1 night in Beverly Hills, 2 nights in Catalina Island (both new places for us), and then 5 nights at DLR!

We are doing OBB October 29th (dressing as Barbie and Ken ), with 4-day park hoppers for flexibility purposes, but we're planning a good amount of pool time as well. We managed to snag quite the line-up of ADRs: GCH Craftsman Grill, Blue Bayou, Goofy's Kitchen, Trader Sam's, Din Tai Fung, Carnation Cafe, Carthay Circle, and Storyteller's Cafe. We're total foodies if you can't tell. To say we are ready for vacation is an UNDERSTATEMENT!

We have the Blue Bayou Fantasmic package, Goofy’s kitchen, Hearthstone Lounge on arrival night, we have Storytellers on our last morning

Planning on seeing Sha-Boom for the first tine
Realllllly looking forward to our pool/cabana day!

Nooo . I asked every popcorn stand I saw. They all told me their stand was sold out but to check (whatever other stand). No luck! All the pumpkin ears and this years Halloween ears with the sequin bow are gone too. Devastation!

It was so nice to meet y’all too! You guys are the sweetest!! I was telling my mom how my friend was like “are those the same guys on your Disney board?” when y’all walked passed and she started singing “it’s a small world”
