"NFL LITE" AKA COLLEGE FOOTBALL 2024

I hate the targeting rule. I know it's in place for player safety, but the enforcement of it seems to be all across the board, and sometimes things can't be avoided.

Not a particular game, but a defender goes to tackle and has his head lowered and should go to the side of the ball carrier (think in the arm pit area). The defender is committed and in the process of the tackle. But the ball carrier slightly turns his body and lowers his head, and next thing you know, it's helmet to helmet and the defender is called for targeting. But he had no chance of avoiding the hit because where the hit happened was because of the actions of the ball carrier.
Definitely agree that the running back scenario should never be called.

But I support blatant, unnecessary head to head blows to a defenseless player being called.

That was the situation on that play-it appeared to result in a concussion.

I vaguely remember the result of the play (concussion), don't remember the hit. That's why I didn't comment on the play.

My interest level is the same. I do think the UT/OSU game was closer than the score indicated. I do think OSU was the better team, but not by much. Looking forward to the National Championship game!

So, did the rest of y’all lose interest now that the SEC is out?

Go B1G!
The SEC and especially Alabama have got to accept their era of dominance is over for the foreseeable future at least.

They will have to fight more competition now.

That's why it is important to enjoy EVERY SECOND when your team is on top!

NO ONE stays on top continuously.

I agree, Texas played well. It really could have been anyone's game until the fumble.

Texas took Smith out of the game-that was big.

Texas will have to live with 1st and goal from the 1 for a long time.

Nice start for the underdog Fightin' Irish!

Not really a fan of either but hope ND takes down the 20 Million Dollars Buckeyes!

Oh well, looks like we're headed for a Buckeyes Blowout.

I guess 20 Mil is a sound investment when the ROI is a NC.

Congratulations to Ohio State. I know 3 people who are over the moon tonight. Go B1G!

Interesting that both teams have high academic standards for their players. Can’t say the same for many SEC schools.
OSU did nothing wrong in today's environment.

They even brought in 2 of the SEC's best players this year.

They are playing the NIL game better than anyone else.

More power to them!

I'm not accusing OSU of doing anything wrong. I just dislike the coach, in particular, and the whole "it's just us in little ol' Ohio" schtick.

OSU will have to significantly up their 20 Mil payroll if they want to maintain their lead in the NIL game for 2025.

Jeremiah Smith is reportedly being offered 5 Mil to enter the Portal with Carnell Tate at 1 Mil.
