My BJs membership will be expiring soon. This was the $10 online only membership that converted to a regular membership. Any tips on getting a renewal cheaper than the $65 they want for renewal? I really only use it to buy discounted cards when they send me a coupon.

I just let mine expire each year and within a couple months they send me a mailing for the $20ish renewal.

I just looked on Groupon and found an offer for $15 for the 1-Year Club Card Membership. Looks like the deal ends in 4 days.

*It does say in the fine print that it's valid for new members only....but you might be able to switch registered email addresses. I might call BJ's first and see*

The funny thing is I just got an email that my $325 gift card purchase gave me a free year of Target circle (I didn't even realize I had the offer on my account) and also qualified me for the $30 bonus. So it seems like it was an issue with your purchase. If you click the dropdown arrow by your name on your target account in the upper right corner and click on target circle, and then in the middle of the page it has 5 headings (Deals, Bonus, Partners, Voting, Activity). Click on Activity and it will give you a breakdown as to what did and didn't qualify towards the bonus. Below is what my activity looks like for the purchase I just made of a $200 gift card, a $100 gift card, and a $25 gift card.

For some reason I'm unable to find those 5 headings in the app. But now when I look in the app it shows as completed. I guess the last $100 was just delayed for a few days.

Woohoo! I got the 4 x $90 at Target for $30 circle reward I do shop at Target pretty regularly, so I’ll just use DGCs to bump up my spending as needed to earn the bonus.

Do you have a chase ink cash? If so buy $600 in Mastercards for slightly less ($15 off $300 in cards).

Take those cards to BJ’s or sams and buy them there. It is a lot of work though for only slightly more savings (this won’t even be 10%)

FYI, Shoprite is running their any gift card deal again right now. Buy $50 any GC through Saturday, get a $10 off your order next Sat-Sun. (Assuming Maryland is different start and end dates like they usually are.) Mine printed properly when I was there right on Sunday when it started.

I noticed Rakuten has 14% off of Tripadvisor today. T&C's are:


I was able to get cash back through Rakuten when there was the TripAdvisor Plus deal last year and I don't see why DL tickets should be excluded so . I don't think my CB posted until after the ticketed date (1/31) so I'll report back after the trip.

Not only are you right but doctor of credit even has it up on the site. Good looks! Love the ShopRite GC promos. as I'm at ShopRite sometimes twice a week!

Those headings are on the Target website if you log in on a PC; I'm not sure where you would find them in the app.

Help me work thru these offers. I got an offer in my snail mail to renew my BJ's membership for $25. I also got an email offer from one of my credit cards for a $45 statement credit if I make $500 in online purchases by 2/14.

If I purchase a renewal and $500 GC, that would come to $505, which I calculated to come out to just under a 9% savings. It's not the very best savings that I've gotten but not the worst either. Plus, I would get a full year of BJ's savings which would be great IF any of my CC offer a bonus for warehouse purchases.

Do I go for it of no?

I actually found it when I was shopping and saw the banner up in store. I was honestly shocked that I hadn't seen it on this thread first because we're usually all over that!

give me a quick lesson on Target circle. I downloaded the app years ago but never go to Target therefore never use it.
BUT, after reading what you all are saying, I looked at my app.
I don't want another credit card but could always buy toilet paper or laundry soap to use 'rewards points'
I have a $10 off of $60. First, is that good? Sounds good to me. Like 16% if I can use it on Disney gift cards.
But do I have to have purchase on a Target credit card to get that offer?
Does it put them points on my app and can I use them on most anything the next time I shop?

(I have an upcoming trip and discounted gift cards is always great!)

Do you have a BJ's club in your area that you shop at occasionally? Just trying to decide because your situation sounds like mine.

My membership is supposed to renew in February but I don't know if it's worth it or not, just for the gift cards. We like some of their food products and find that they have good coupons on household items so I think it would be worth it for us.

From what I've seen and compared, BJ's has Disney gift cards at a better % of savings than Sam's Club, so I would probably go for it. If I can get over 5% savings on a Disney gift card with minimal effort, I always think it's worth it.
