I went to target and they told me GC won't count toward my $60.
I even went to the front counter and asked a 2nd person who asked a 3rd person.
I even mentioned that it reads like Target GC don't count. So I left sad.
Came home and decided to buy a $25 DGC on line to see if it counted and IT DID!!
So I got more and now have my $10 reward!!

Now to watch for more deals I can use

When it comes to gift cards and stores, they will almost always tell you they are not included. It's usually best just to try...

Can someone please give me a crash course on the Pepper app? I have never used it before, but have a promo with AmEx for $30 back after a $75 purchase.
I downloaded the app and from what I can see, you basically just buy gift cards through the app to pay for purchases and get points for that. Is there anything I’m missing?
How do you buy DGC and use Pepper?

I noticed Rakuten has 14% off of Tripadvisor today. T&C's are:

I was able to get cash back through Rakuten when there was the TripAdvisor Plus deal last year and I don't see why DL tickets should be excluded so . I don't think my CB posted until after the ticketed date (1/31) so I'll report back after the trip.

Just coming back to report my 14% CB is now pending in Rakuten. I made two purchases. The first one I used my actual entry date of 1/31 but then I remembered that last time I used this, the sooner you put down the date, the faster they count your CB. (And the date doesn’t matter for redeeming the TA vouchers) The second purchase was for 1/16. Today I received an email from Rakuten that my CB is pending!

One of my Freedom's is stating "Thank you for your interest. You have enrolled into this offer already."

Hoping it is for groceries to get 9% but am doubtful.

To add onto this, the way you can use Pepper to buy DGC is to buy Sam's Club GC, then use them at Walmart (which takes Sam's GC) to purchase DGC. I purchased physical DGC in the app and had them shipped to me.

It was under the "Featured Rewards" section for me. It does says "now that you're enrolled" which leads me to believe that was the offer. I remember putting my CC numbers in and not being impressed by the offer since I never book through the portal.

No idea, I didn't do this in any significant volume. I used my Amex offer and after that the good point multipliers seemed to have dried up so I didn't continue pursuing this. It worked fine for the two times I tried it though? It seemed to be important to order a physical card, ordering a digital card didn't work for me.

I used to love Amex offers as they seemed to post automatically within 3 - 7 days after purchase - I didn't even have to keep track of them.

Unfortunately, I am now up to 3 different Amex offers that have not credited within the last 3 months. One of them was the Pepper offer for $15 back after spending $50, one of them was for spending $40 on NJ Transit trains and buses, and one was for spending $12.99 on Paramount Plus. I had all these offers on multiple authorized user cards and did them on a couple of different cards, and they credited properly on some cards but each offer didn't credit one time even though I did the exact same purchase as the other cards. (And no, it wasn't the same authorized user that all 3 didn't credit properly.)

And Amex's response is now that the offer says it can take up to 90 days after the offer ends for the credit to post, so they won't do anything until the 90 days are up. So even though my Pepper purchase was on November 22, Amex says since the offer ended on December 31, I have to call them back in April.

So I would highly recommend checking your Amex offers and make sure they actually credit correctly.

Oh Citi... so for anyone not in the know about Citi IT - they make Disney IT look competent. At the end of the day I think I'll clear $1k DGC for 17.5% off if the 5% extra from Rakuten clears as I did the deal on my Custom Cash and Strata Premier.

The primary on the Citi account needs to do this or at least take their phone with you/have them on call with time to spare for the fraud alerts.

Did it today, took about half an hour. (CVS actually allowed me to buy $500 DGCs which surprised me, although they did require a scan of my drivers license and self check-out wouldn't process it). Probably not the best use of my time lol but I was determined and over the years I've had many a merry go around with Citi Fraud/IT, I'd packed my patience. Numerous failed text messages & multiple phone calls later I got both of my transactions through. My other player got annoyed and gave up- this is not a deal for the impatient.

Maybe. I tried that for my second card but the person was just like “your card is fine”. If this starts you just apologize to the cashier and step away. They cancel the transaction and proceed with those behind you. Get back in line when done.

Not everyone throws fraud alerts so maybe you’ll have better luck?
