My pet peeve..Wondering if others feel the same way?

I've stayed at both BCV and Boardwalk and hate the balcony chairs. But last week I stayed at the Poly and fell in love with their chairs. A double vinyl thick weave with good give and take and not cold to the touch. . I tried to look for the brand but could not find it. Anyone have any idea who makes those?

New building or the old longhouses? It's been so long since I stayed at the LHs, I have honestly forgotten.

If they're comfortable, they're the first ones.

We read a thread similar to this months ago and decided then to pack some inflatable pillows for our most recent February trip. We too are “patio people” and we were so glad we brought them along! We packed them in our owners locker for our fall trip. Can’t wait to use them again!

The chairs on the patio/balcony are usually dusty and dirty anyways, so I always put a towel over them so that makes it a tiny bit better  If it gets uncomfortable, then I'll use one of the couch cushions.

My personal pet peeve is the cheap thin blanket at all resort instead of a real duvet!!😒 DCL bedding is soooo much more superior...c'mon WDW resorts, do better!

The bedding has to be that it can be quickly and easily washed, with enough reserves to change them between resort guests, that is why we don't have themed bedspreads anymore at the resorts. On cruises, they usually don't change duvets or duvet covers daily, as can happen at resorts that allow single night reservations.

I get the logic but that still doesn't make sense to me. You need to change the sheets that's being used for the blanket anyways when guests are checked out regardless it's 1 night or 10 nights, so using a heavier blanket wouldn't change that. To me, using those sheets for the thin blanket is even more hassle than a actual duvet cover. But I get it that the sheets can have multiple purposes, and saves the hotel some money.

We’re seniors and spend most of our vacation enjoying the resort we’re at. So we obviously relax on our patio…Does anyone else think the patio chairs need to be updated..THEY ARE SO UNCOMFORTABLE! Maybe even adding cushions would help! I usually bring out the bedroom pillows.
I love to sit on the patio and read…it would be great to even take a little nap…
What are your thoughts?
The deck chairs are atrociously uncomfortable … hate to do it but couch pillows go outside with us as well …

Actual duvet covers would need more laundry sorting, plus many duvet covers are basically a big cloth sack that would require much more housekeeper time to stuff the duvet into it., unlike the old fashioned bedspreads they used to have.

That's why they pretty much went generic with all the sheets and towels, rather than the original different colored towels at various resorts. OKW had coral colored towels when it opened.

I went to the Disney Institute around the customer experience. They had us stuff a duvet (Aulani duvets to be exact) to show how long it took us and how if you multiplied it across all the resorts it was an insane amount of staff time and wages for no benefit.
